QOTD - 11/28/08

i have not had any time the past couple of days to sit down & post a QOTD. i am so sorry. i hope everyone had a great thanksgiving & for those who hosted thanksgiving i hope you take the day to rest.

so todays question of the day:

Within the next 5 weeks, we will be approaching the 1 year marks for our weddings, what will everyone be doing to try to keep calm & organized???

my sister (MOH) has started to make lists of everything that needs to be taken care of. i have never in my life seen her so organized but luckily for me for has discovered how to be organized.

i think i have been calm and collected so far. all of my vendors are booked. the only thing i have left is the officiant. after that its just littel DIY's if i decide to them so i dont think im going to be stressed or overwhelmed. having a 2 year engagement really helped

i agree w/ jackie... i have most of my vendors booked except for limo.. so i guess its just going though whatever else needs to be booked and done.. and dress shopping! :)

for me i think it was different because we were getting married in 09 and then switched it. So we had most of our major vendors booked which is a big help. But one thing i did that helped ALOT was put everyone on my guest lists names and adresses on note cards. When i was sending out my STD's..i had everything right there and i wrote on the card that it was sent. It's such a big help. I also took one drawer in my room and labled it wedding stuff. All my contracts are in a folder along with payment reciepts and if i see inspiration in a magazine i rip it out and put it in that drawer. I'm not really into the whole planning thing so this at least keeps things together when i do feel like tackling some stuff.

I still have until late 2009 to say i have offically one year left...But this upcoming year we will be finishing booking our vendors (within the first few months of the year) and starting on some DIYS and getting addresses and such.

I really have been very calm. I have all my vendors booked besides the Dj and limo and the DJ we basically know who we are going with. My MOH has been taken care of little things and have done little things here and there.

I have 2 vendors left to book, which hopefully will be booked in early 2009. then i'll get started on my DIY. I think I'll remain fairly calm in the process.

I think things will continue to be calm. My mother calmed down and she's been doing stuff with me. FH is a big help and he likes all the planning. We'll just continue to book our last few vendors (florist and limos) and then start on looking for little things like invitations, dresses, etc

dont think i really need to do anything. I already have to do lists so Im just gonna keep crossing things off it and Im confident things will be fine

Soo not calm and collected, still have not found a RH as yet, but we have narrowed it down to two places Russos and Chateau Briand.

We have two vendors left: Photo/Video and Limo. We're good. We just book when we have the deposit. I am not tackling ANY DIY, it's just not my thing...

Dress shopping is something I'm tackling in early 2009.

i would say i have been really calm. the only thing i have to do is the chruch and i can call that monday. and then the limos. my reall pain in the butt is the bm dresses have no idea what i want.

im totally calm.. im so lax and whatever about everything.. im probably going to end up procrastinating and then basically setting myself up for major stress at the end... just like i do with everything in life.. idk.. i just feel like i still have SOOOOOO much time and i dont really have to do anything until next summer.
