Most of us still have over a year (and some closer to two years) to go before the big day, but this is something worth thinking about now!
Did you pick your first dance song yet?
I don't think the decision has officially been made yet, but we're leaning heavily toward 'I Won't Give Up' by Jason Mraz. My only hesitation is that it's such a big hit now and I don't know how I feel about dancing to such a popular song.

We picked our song months before we were even engaged. It's Charles Bradley - Lovin You Baby. We heard it on the radio one day and loved it's vintage raw sound and the words of course. We just both knew it had to be our song.

the decision isnt def made yet..but i would love our first song to be 'endless love' by lionel richie and diana ross...it was my parents first song at their wedding 30 years ago!

We have always had some 'songs' between us, and we always went back and forth between 'death cab for cutie- I will follow you into the dark'.. The song is romantic but also a little morbid, so whenever we would casually talk about it pre-engagement, we were never sure.
The band that its by is a band I introduced to FH and is probably one of the only bands that we both love... So it's more meaningful than any other song.. So about a week After the engagement he turned to me and said 'I've been really thinking about this... Our song HAS TO BE I will follow you into the dark' and I'm a sucker for Any cute/romantic decisions he makes, so I was sold.

I think this is a beautiful song and you shouldn't let it's popularity influence you! At least everyone will know it
We are going to have our first dance to the song 'Good Thing' by Reel Big Fish.
Its not a 'traditional' first dance song, meaning its a little bit more upbeat... but its a significant song for us. We went to their concert when we first started dating and it was during that song that I realized I was in love with this amazing man.

Our first dance will be 'First Day of My Life' by Bright Eyes. FH fell in love with it when I made a list of songs for him to put in our Alaska vacation video where he proposed :)

Our first dance is our song Edwin McCain- I Could Not Ask for More. That has been our song since we first started our journey of love with each other and we couldn't imagine dancing to any other song.

FH and I haven't officially decided but we have quite a few songs that are songs between us that we have had 'moments' to so we are leaning towards some of those but can't decide. i am sure as it gets closer that the answer will become clear.

Our song is Let's Stay Together by Al Green and it's way too fast for a first dance. We both love When You Got a Good Thing by Lady Antebellum or God Blessed the Broken Road but I don't want to decide this until it gets closer in case I get sick of the song haha

We've had our first song picked for awhile. I'm a big Bon Jovi fan and FH likes them as well maybe not as much as me but they have the best song ever. Song: Thank you for loving me. We even dance to it now after special nights which make the nights even more special.

When I asked FH what he thought our wedding song should be he said it had to be 'Then' by Brad Paisley because it always reminded him of me. Now I get teary eyed every time I hear it!

This was actually our song when we had first started dating! But we gradually moved away from it and wanted something different for our wedding song. I still force him to hold my hand when the song comes on, though

We picked our wedding song, but I also want to do something more upbeat and fun. FH's uncle owns a dance studio and is a classically trained dancer, so I'm considering getting the whole bridal party together to do a sort of flash mob dance in the middle of the reception.

Our song is Dont Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith. Yes, it is absolutely on the list of cheesiest songs ever, but it has been 'our song' since we were in that first beginning dating phase when every single cheesy love song feels like the story of your life. On top of that, we saw Aerosmith in concert this last summer and heard them perform it live, so it has a lot of meaning to us. I love 90s music and FH loves rock music, it kind of meets somewhere in the middle. I get teary when I hear it now imagining our first dance!

We (or really I!) am deciding between two songs right now. 'I'm Yours' by Jason Mraz has meaning with us and it's got a good beachy vibe for my nautical wedding. But 'our song' has always been 'When I See You Smile' by Bad English (total 80's love ballad!) I'm just not sure it's very dance-worthy.
