we decided not to give presents the day of - already so much to do anyways

I bought him an Ipad 2 and a pair of cufflinks. Since we had to postpone the wedding which was supposed to have taken place on 12/16, I may just give him the Ipad as a Christmas gift. He can make use of it now - he's a photographer.
