Well its been a crazy morning for me, car broken, working 16 hours yesterday, still havent finished christmas shopping so I have a lot on my plate today. BUT ITS PAYDAY I keep thinking about the holidays and friends and family so it got me thinking about all the great times we have all had together so heres my questions:
Q) besides a wedding, what was the BEST party that you have ever been to?
a) I went to a sweet sixteen party a couple years ago that was in a loft in NYC. it was a bali theme and they had tables and umbrellas and flowers hanging from the ceiling. with jewel toned floor pillows for a VIP area, an oxygen bar, a photo booth, 10 Xbox video games set up for competition, DDR, make your own jewelry, and the most amazing food, (all morocan inspired)

A Halloween party at my friend's house! We went all out decorating and had such a great time!

The Christmas Eve Parties my parents used to have! Everyone would be over - our house was packed with family and friends. they're were tons of presents ,food and booze. My uncle would dress up as santa every year and come down the stairs like he came in from the attic. It was just an amazing time that everyone looked forward to. I hope i can make christmas eve that special for my kids one day.

thats what we do for xmas eve!
no one on my moms side of the family has missed a christmas eve since i was born! We loooooove our party, and it has been tradition to get some sort of present as a joke for my uncle. last year I bought him $25 worth of marinated octopus and laxative Tea from the dollar store and wrapped in individually in hot pink duct tape, then put it in one giant box the size of a TV and wrapped that in congrats its a baby girl paper

I'd say New Year's Eve party at FIL's house 2 years ago was a pretty awesome time. Beer pong upstairs, eating good food, getting sauced up with good people and ending it with a good ol' fashioned dance party! Oh and the drunken convo between FFIL and I at the end of the night LOL

one of the best parties was the christmas party my house (i lived with 9 girls) threw in college... we went all out decorating..lived in this HUGE old house...had lights hanging in every room so we didn't need lights, set a real nice vibe we cooked (college parties NEVER had food so everyone loved that ) our 2 friends bartended, we made everyone dress up really nice (another rarity at our school), it was just an awesome party

I'd have to say that my brother's wedding was a great party... nothing was crazy or out of the ordinary but it was the first major event for my immediate family.. everyone was dancing, my dad and i were taking shots of tequila the bar, my great aunt was tearing up the dance floor, my brother and SIL did a professional first dance (I was in tears)..... it was just a great time with all of us grown (my sister wasnt annoying anymore)...

My engagement party!! Is that too close to a wedding?
Also, my communion party. I know that sounds crazy but my and my moh are 5 months apart so we received communion on the same day. We had her whole family and my whole family all together at my grandmother's house. She had a HUGE backyard so we were all running around and my uncle's band played. Me and my cousin still talk about it lol

it was my favorite party, everyone said they had so much fun.
we had this limbo contest that my guy friends were winning.
i'm talking big body builders limbo-ing like professionals... it was amazing! lol

I would have to say my work Christmas party and the Russian Tea Room last year, it was amazing...As well as my Christmas dinner last year at Per Se (the best food experience I have ever had!!!)

My MOH has a birthday party every year her bf throws and he goes ALL out! They have an inground pool, beautiful koi fish pond and they have so much booze and food. Last year there was a deep fried turducken! They usually have 60 people there and it goes allllllllllll night!

Prob my FSIL's wedding. It was the best wedding I have ever been to--everyone danced the whole time! Her DJ was fantastic.
And my parents throw out of control parties so any of those--they hire professional bands, my dad has a raffle with amazing prizes (TV's and things like that) and they hire limos if people get too drunk to take them home. If it's in the winter, they tarp in their huge deck and put heaters inside.
They also hire bartenders.....
They are insane

Prolly any party my parents have ever thrown...they are crazy party people!
the best one who comes to mind is my brother's 16th birthday, he had a halloween party for his 16th, it was a blast! Great good, great dj, great time

The best party I've ever been too would have to be our christmas eve party my parents throw every year for the past 22 years since my twin brother passed in his honor! All family from both sides of the family come we have over 50 people in our house of family and friends, a whole bunch of food and drinking! Great way to get the family together!

Ok...this might be silly.....BUT when I was a sophomore in college, all of the boyfriends of my friends used to make fun of us for liking Harry Potter (really, I think only 4 books were out at this time!)
So in order to stick it to them, we had a HUGE Harry Potter Party!
Everyone dressed up, we had food and drinks themed around HP. So much fun!!!!!
