QOTD - 12/12 - Groom

ok so i know it's hard to pin point just once memory... but what is your funniest memory that you and your FH/FW have had?

feel free to give a couple...

Jackie and I went to see Superbad when it came out in the theater. we went with another couple and they drove. when they dropped us off at home... i walked up to the front door and looked at Jackie. she looked at me like i had 3 heads. neither of us brought our keys. we then called and woke up her mom to make sure she had a copy of the key. Jackie's mom lives on the same block as us, but it's like 3 stop signs down. so we had to walk down to get the key. i told her i was gonna wait at the house, but she made me go with her. the entire 10 minute walk to the house, Jackei was laughing, and hugging me... but i was upset about this. we laughed about it the entire walk home too.

it doesnt seem like a funny story, but to jackie and i it was hilarious. the things she was saying o nte way to her moms were funny, and the things i was snapping back with were funny as well.

ok im bad at thinking on the spot..so i'm going to mention the one we just talked about John.

we went to buffalo and we were driving through the city at night heading back to our hotel. we started talking about sex and i guess got distracted and missed the exit we were supposed to get off. John is excellent at reading maps so we tried to find our way back but for some reason when we followed what the map would say we would end up in the same spot. we did this for about a half hour...just driving seriously in circles..ending up in the same spot every time. He was getting so frustrated and i was surprisingly calm. it was hysterical though because it all happened because we were talking about sex stuff.

when driving somewhere unknown now...we have a rule of no sex talk!

I would say my funniest memory with Colleen was when it was the first time she was driving back to college by herself... She thought she was lost and called me hysterically crying saying 'I'm lost in the bronx you have to come get me before I get raped or killed' meanwhile she was on the highway at this point so I asked her where she was and she said 'I'm on the highway' and I was like 'if you're on the highway how is anyone going to get you?' And she got upset that I was laughing so then I asked her what exit she was near and she told me and she was going the right way... Just needed the patience to go two more exits... LoLoLoL I thought that was hilarious and still. Make fun of her about it!

I think the first time we drove up to Oneonta. I was taking a my National High School Soccer Coaching class at the Soccer Hall of Fame and we got a cheap GPS like 2 days before we left. I tried it out around here and it seemed to work fine. Well lets just say that 4 and a half hour drive became a 7 hour drive though upstate. It took us off the main roads and down side streets for about 3 hours. Worse is that they had just had all that flooding and landslides up there so some roads weren't in great shape. Well the last side street we went on had 'road closed' spray painted on the ground. So we drove on the road and after a few seconds the road started to get smaller. I looked to my left and there was no road but there was a 10 foot ditch. So I asked Gaby to look over...and she started flipping out. It was so funny to me but she was flipping. She said she didnt see any road under the passanger tires and was like flipping out about it. I couldnt help but laugh about it. It was crazy. We passed a house where there was a piece of wood (about 8 feet long and maybe 2 feet wide) from the driveway to the street. Thats how bad it was up there.

To this day that is still funny to me.

One that comes to mind was a few months ago. We were driving home from a night out in Oakdale with our friends. And I know mostly all of that area but for the life of me, I couldn't direct FH home to Kings Park. I got us sooooo lost cuz I was so drunk. We wound up on the Robert Moses Causeway heading to the beach haha.

Funniest moment was when we went to Disney. I was dying to see Micky Mouse. Thats all I was talking about. While we went to the Magic Kingdom I never got to see him. But then we went to MGM and I was on a mission to see Mickey. Well, when I finally spotted him I went running over to him, arms strechted out saying 'Mickey I have been looking all over for you!!!' FH almost fell over laughing at me. I was worse than any kid there.

ok,so i laugh every time i think of this because i can picture it in my head..

its kind of like one of those 'you had to be there things...' but here it is

so, last summer FH took me to the beach for the very first time in my whole 21 years of life. I was having so much fun in the ocean and was acting like a little kid. However, I was kinda nervous because he kept dragging me out further, and the waves were kinda scaring me. well, i insisted we buy a boogie board, so we did. FH was messing around on it for a little bit, and he rode a wave the whole way to shore..he stood up, but a wave knocked him down.. he tried to get up again, but he got knocked down.. the waves just kept coming and next thing i know he was doing flips in the water..it was the funniest thing i have ever seen
