What is your favorite winter memory with your fh?


I love getting snowed in with FH!
One year for Christmas fh came to celebrate at my house and my sister & her fiance at the time (her now dh) and his family. We had ate and were in the living room opening up gifts when it started to snow. It was such a beautiful sight & a perfect touch to Christmas. Than out of no where the snow picked up and there was inches outside.
My parents house is impossible to get out of the driveway and up the hill in the street. So all the guys are all trying to push the cars up the driveway & street & then my bils truck died from it being on without being started-bc his mom was sitting in it with the radio on. lol. luckily for my fam we all have Suvs so we were able to get their fam home but fh stayed over that night! I loved being snowed in with him.
Looking forward to getting snowed in with fh & our dog.

I was thinking more along the line of snow memory but we met and got engaged in winter! Great memory too!!

i have two...

the first was our first winter together when we were 12...i remember sledding by this pond next to my house, and practicing our kisses in between (we were still learning...)

the second was when we were 16 and he came to visit on christmas eve from upstate. i snuck out of my house and met him by the roof of his friend's house. i brought cake my sister had made and we just hung out all night talking and eating.

My favorite winter memory has to do with our engagement!

One this weekend last year, we were hit with a bad winter storm...snow, ice, rain...it was a Friday, the day of my office holiday party. The next day - Saturday - FH and I (only he wasn't 'FH' then!) were suppossed to fly to Florida for Christmas with my family. We had been planning this all year, and almost all of the flights that Friday were cancelled. I was so afraid that flights would continue to be cancelled, and that we wouldn't make it to FL. I reserved rental cars at 3 different places because I was so determined to get to Florida - side note, I have my license but don't drive. Whatever. I was getting us there somehow!!!

When I get all 'Monica Gellar-ish', FH gets irritated...but he was cool as a cucumber through this. Little did I know, he was nervous about proposing to me! In hindsight, I should've picked up on this, but I didn't...I was too bust calling Hertz and Enterprise for freakin' car rentals JUST IN CASE THE PLANE DIDN'T TAKE OFF!

So anyway, we made it to Florida, as scheduled, on the plane we were suppossed to be on. But anytime there's a storm, I think back to the day before we left, and the wicked weather (which I normally love! I love rain and snow) and how we made it to FL!!!

The proposal happened the day after we landed. As a Christmas present to FH and I, my parents took us and my sister to Key West, and FH popped the question in a little butterfly and nature conservatory on the island. We were in tee-shirts and jeans...a far cry from the wintery weather up north.

Best winter memory would have to be going into the city for dinner and checking out the tree with his cousin and his wife a few years ago. We had such a great time and thinking back can feel that feeling...make sense??

However, the best winter place memory would have to be June 2008 when we went up to Vermont with 'the boys' and stayed at a friends condo on Mount Killington. We drove to New Hampshire for a NASCAR race but then enjoyed the resort the rest of the time. The place was empty and I had my first gondola ride. WHAT A RIDE IT WAS!!!

We got snowed in one year and had to shovel my parents driveway by ourselves so he could get out (my parents were in Cancun ) and then he couldn't even get up the street cause of all teh snow he had to turn around and come back...

I have two I think:

1. When we first started dating - I think it was our third date and FH and I went into the city to see the tree and walk around. I had such a great time, and he seemed to. I found out later that night however, that he HATES the city and he HATES the cold, and he HATES crowds, lol. So there we were in the city, in the middle of December, in huge crowds around the tree. But he did it because he knew I wanted to......needless to say, we've never been back, lol

2. About 8 years ago, I was home from college for winter break and we had a HUGE snowstorm. So FH and I went sledding. It was so much fun, and we were just like little kids. I ended up tumbling of course and hurting myself, but still, it was a great time.

Every year, we go see Transiberian Orchestra for Christmas, and they are just simply amazing!

Also, last Christmas Eve, FH dressed as Santa at my family Christmas party, it was amazingggg

going on a cruise two years ago in january

FH had this big family vacation planned to go to disneyland for his parents 30th wedding anniversary.. they planned it before we were dating, and I was not included because I wasnt around... but 6 mos later when it was time for them to go I was so jealous! I wanted to go so bad, especially cuz at this point im totally in love with the guy!
Then the night before they are leaving, FH comes into my apt and goes 'pack your bags your comin to disneyland'. Him and his mom worked everything out and got me on standby flights, etc. It was such a great time and a great bonding experience for the whole family, I loved it!

when we first started seeing each other and he was trying to win me over he came to my house at 5 am with one of his friends and decorated my front yard with roses , he stuck them all in the snow lining the walk way)and chcolates boxes and had a huge bow with a card hanging from the door
