QOTD 1/22/10

Good morning well afternoon ladies!! Happy Friday! Hope everyone's week went good!!

What do you want to be when you grow up? Well what is your dream job?

I know many of us are going to school or just finished school so I was wondering what you want to be?

I want to me a teacher but with no school districts hiring unless you know someone which I dont... I was thinking of changing my career to doing speech therapy which means I would have to go back to school.

I want to work for a pro sports team in their PR department - that is my ideal job.

But my DREAM job if I could - would be to own a sports team or be a vet.. Yea, I know - 2 totally different things LOL

i have no idea! i have changed my major six times that is once every semester since i only went 3 years and took a break because A. I'm moving so i have to transfer and they only accept a certain amount of transfer credits so it would be a waste of money and B. it gives me time to really think about what i want to do because now I'm thinking i want to be something else

I really don't have a clue. Right now I'm an executive assistant at an advertising agency and i'm 'comfortable' for lack of a better term.

I have to say though that I've also wanted to teach, but for some reason just never went in that direction in college. I could always go back for it.

For now though, I'm fine where I am. What's most important to me is family and I don't want to be stuck with a job that takes away time from my family. I see some of the upper management here at work and they are always taking their work home with them, or staying late and by the time they get home their kids are in bed. It's really sad to see that. I'd rather be at a job where I am making decent money (enough to survive and a little extra) and I am comfortable than strive to make tons of $$ in a position where I wasn't truly happy and I can't tuck my kids into bed.

i have a year and a half left of grad school. i will be a psychologist but have yet to decide what area i want to go into. i'm thinking child or spots psychology

I'm a receptionist now and I'm an accounting major. In years to come I would love to open my own event planning business

Would love to gain enough financial independence to open up a bed and breakfast and invest lots of money in the stock market!!!

I went to school and majored in Psychology, But I only managed to get my bachelor's degree. I really can't make up my mind on what I want to do to further my career. I'm comfy right now at my current Job as an assistant...but.... One day I'll go back and finish when I finally decide what I want to do. Maybe I'll go into teaching...I'm pretty good at bossing people around, just ask my FH and Future Step Daughter. lol.

Right now I'm doing accounts receivable for a hospital system. It's pretty much what I went to school for (Economics). So right now, I'm pretty happy where I am. I want to go back to grad school, but I need to be with my company for a year for them to pay it completely. I'd like to get my MBA.

But I always wanted to be a music teacher. I have such a passion for it but I realized when I was a senior in high school after I did all of my auditions for college that there wasn't a demand for music teachers. Usually, they're the first to go when a school district budget is doing cuts. So I had to be more realistic.....

i work in fashion merch. on the store level... ideally id like to do merch or marketing in fashion on the corporate level instead of store atmosphere... but you gotta start somewhere. went to school for marketing so hopefully within the next year i can move up!!

I just graduated with my masters in speech language pathology and currently in search of a job I believe that this is my dream job. I really love everything about the field

I always wanted to be a cop, secretary or teacher..been a secretary..finshing school in May and I will finally be a teacher though I don't think I will have a job
