~~~QOTD 1/23/14~~~
Good Morning Ladies!
I hope everyone made it okay in the snow yesterday and we are all safe. To all the brides getting married this weekend HAVE A GREAT TIME and we will look forward to pictures.
For today, I would like for us to share your most embarrassing moment on a date with your fiancée. I remember when we were on a date I was so nervous, I kept dropping my utensils at dinner. I have NO IDEA why or what made me feel that way because I was used to him but my hands were trembling and I could not control it. Everyone in the restaurant was looking at us. All I could do is laugh.
Looking forward to reading your posts when I get home. Have a great day today.
My most embarrassing moment, hands down, was last Valentine's Day. We went out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants in Brooklyn and, even though we usually exchange a small gift at home, he wanted to give me something extra then. I knew right away it was a box of chocolate even though he wrapped it! Haha, after I opened it and saw the box was a heart shaped box made to look like a baseball, I could see why he wanted to surprise me with what it looks like, because I love baseball. But I kept saying 'Do I have to open it now?' and he insisted. It's a pretty intimate restaurant so everyone's heads turned to stare. The way they were looking at us, I just knew most of them were thinking he was going to propose!! I was half amused and half mortified.
Little did I know he would really be proposing 4 months later!
Hmm, I don't know that I have any embarrassing date moments...FH and I were college friends for 6 months before we started dating, so we kind of got out our nerves and our 'dark sides' (i.e. gas, bad breath, gross eating habits, early morning hair, etc.) before we even went on dates.
But I will say FH and I attended his cousins wedding last summer. It takes me a while to get on the dance floor, especially when I don't know most people there, but I had finally gotten out on the dance floor. FH and I were dancing close to where his family was sitting, so they were basically watching us. Well, the very classy Flo-Rida song 'Low' came on and we got low low low as instructed...and finally I got a little too low and fell backwards, which also resulted in causing FH to fall backwards. Probably wouldnt have been noticed if the entire table wasn't watching! I don't know why I ever insist on trying to look cool...
Re: ~~~QOTD 1/23/14~~~
I twisted my ankle twice on one (1) hike.
We had about 1/3 of the way to go to get back to the car. The first time I went down shoulder first into the ground. Cut my right knee right through the jeans. Twisted my left ankle.
Got back up, hobbled another 1/3 of the original distance back and twisted it again, this time landing on my butt and letting out an expletive loud and clear in the beautiful forest surrounding us. I'm surprised birds didn't take wing at the sound of it.
I didn't know what his feelings on cursing was at the time, I later found I had nothing to worry about.
We got back to the car, he found a drug store so we could get ace bandages, Ice pack, band aids. Applebees was next door and they let me change my clothes, and clean my bruises.
We rode back to his place and he cooked dinner and didn't let me lift a finger to help.
I am Such a klutz.
I guess many of us didn't have any embarrassing moments, which is good. The 3 moments were good to read.
