Top of the Mornin',Ladies. Boy, this week has been super busy and crazy. It's official the Holidays are in full swing!
Will you and FH make some time for just each other during the hectic Holidays? What will you do during your quiet time together?
This time of year gets to be too much at times for us. Between preparing for Christmas and attending to our daily lives we sometimes can go days without even sitting alone together for 5 seconds. So this year, I booked a day at a Spa for the both of us. FH has never had a massage and I know he would never do it by himself. SO I booked a Couples Retreat I am hoping that he'll love the massage and treatments but I am looking most forward to just sitting with one another in front of the fireplace having some drinkies.

Yes! FH is working christmas eve, day, and the day after. So we will definitely need to take a night to exchange gifts. We usually have some wintery cocktails, turn on the xmas music, and have fun opening our gifts together. Don't know when it will be this year but can't wait!!

Not really... well not this year atleast. We still live at my Mom's so quiet time doesn't happen much on it's own. We made a point to go out to the East Wind recently for a little overnight get-away. I would consider that our own little holiday.
I also have a big family and we are constantly running around. I am not sad about it. I love being with my family around the holidays. I get to see FH everyday so for me it's an easy trade off.

My FH is out on furlough for the rest of the month, so he will be home a lot more than usual. He's got a TO DO list for the house. As things get done around here and I start to like this house, I'm sure my piss poor attitude will be lifted and I will me much more enjoyable to be around.
I am a member of Massage Envy and I'm thinking of booking a couples massage too.
Merry F'in Christmas Bahhh humbug!!!

Its double hectic for us because its the holidays plus our wedding!! I would say the special quiet times we share together will prob be when we are sitting together watching holiday movies by our Christmas tree.

Well we usually try to have a date night once a month, so I'm going to have to schedule that soon. Other than that, it's really hard for FH and I to have any alone time during the holidays because it seems EVERYONE and their mother wants to get together right before the holidays.

I'm thinking of dragging him into the city next weekend, weather permitting, to look at the store windows, see the tree, that kinda thing. Oh, and I'm thinking of going to midnight mass for the first time in my life, and bringing him along.
The holidays are so hectic, even though my fam is out of state and his fam doesn't celebrate Christmas.

We have a little tradition where a few nights during the holidays we go get ourselves some Starbucks hot chocolate and drive through different neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights. It is one of my favorite things to do during the holidays to get away from everything else that is going on!!!

Usually our time by ourselves is decorating our tree and then going out with a small group after my company's holiday party, but I don't think we'll be doing either this year. Paying for wedding + recession = crappy Christmas.

We usually decorate the tree together and then watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Also, before Christmas we usually take a night and drive around looking at all the houses decorations.

Everyone Monday is our tv time. We sit in front of the tv and eat dinner. That is the only day during the week that is def set spending the time alone. This never changes unless FH has hockey or if I gotta study, as will be the case next week for my stats final.

We decorate the Xmas tree and watch the Grinch and Scrooged. We also go to the tree & see the store windows. It's hard b/c his fam lives in Westchester and mine on LI, and my fam LOVES FH so they're always like 'where is he?' I wish there was an easier way to split the holidays up among both families!

I am SUPER EXCITED!! this is the first christmas FH will even be in the same state as me... he is usually in texas for 5 or 6 days for christmas! so we will open gifts together on christmas morning, BUT we started a traditon a couple years ago.... we put on the movie Elf and put up the christmas tree and decorate the inside of the house and drink hot chocolate! we make a nice fun and romantic night of it, just the 2 of us! Can't wait until the new tree comes so we can have out special xmasy night!
