How involved are you/do you plan to be with planning your shower?
Are you going to open your gifts?
My MOH/ Sister wont even let me SAY the word shower in front of her! She wants it to be a total surprise for me! This stresses me out because I am a control freak and I'd like to have my hair done before I get there so I am hoping she plans it out good! I really trust her with this but its still making me quite nervous! The only thing she wants my input in is whether or not to open my gifts. I really would rather not but other family members are insisting that I do. At my cousins shower, they had more of a cocktail brunch rather then watched her open all her gifts and it was so much more fun!

I've heard some talk that my BMs, even one of my MOHs who lives in Arizona, have had a few discussions about my shower. It's going to be a surprise and FH will be changing the registry password (he already told me) to make the gifting a bit more of a surprise. He thinks it's like cheating because we asked for the things and if I can stalk to registry, I'll know what was bought. I did tell my BMs that, even though some are cheesy, I want shower games to keep people engaged, especially while opening gifts, but there were some that I pre-nixed.
