Today's question is a little bit unusual. If you there was one thing in the world that you could give your future spouse, what would it be?
I would go back and time make sure he grew up in a family with love and that he was always loved because things were not always so pretty when he was growing up..

Re: QOTD 1/3
hmm, i like your response stacey, fh was in a similar situation, but if things didn't happen the way they did then maybe we wouldn't be together.
if i could give him anything it would be a brand new bmw m3, its his dream car.

Re: QOTD 1/3
If i could get him something material it would be a VW69 super beetle. It was the car he said was his dream car when we first started dating...
Something I would really want to do for him is similar to what stacey wrote...I would want to make sure he grew up in a loving and secure family setting. His life growing up wasnt the fairest and I would want him to have everything a normal childhood could offer. But like Chrstine said, if things didnt happen the way they did then we might not have ended up together in the end...

I would say the exact same thing actually, especially in his teen years. I wish things could have turned out differently for his family. Also, I would want to pay off his student loans and debt.

Re: QOTD 1/3
material: a house... he is working SOOO hard and budgeting like crazy every five seconds just to make sure we will be able to buy a house when we get married and i would like to take that stress and pressure away from him.
non-material: i would give him the ability to play soccer again. tom was good... no tom was great... like could have gone pro... he played for the US national team, played in europe.. and he tore every ligament in his ankle. i know he misses it and it kills him that he cant play... hes tried and while hes still good, its not the same.
BUT if he had never had this injury, we probably would have never met. he would have gone to a D1 school instead of staying on long island and who knows if we would have met then!

Re: QOTD 1/3
Similar to some of you,I would change his upbringing. He was kicked out of the house at 16 b/c of his mother's boyfriend and was on his own ever since. He didnt have all the little things that make a childhood special...bday parties, trips etc.

I would fast forward and make sure his mom shows up on to the wedding and as close to on time as possible. This stresses him so.

Re: QOTD 1/3
I agree with the growing up idea. He left home at 17 and has been hustling ever since. Now he is kinda play catch up with education and emloyment. He's doing it, but it could have and should have been easier.

Stacey your ans is exactly same as I would ans. FH dad was not the nicest person ( and I am being nice by saying it like that) I would give him a normal family life
