QOTD 1/9

QOTD 1/9

What do you plan to do/have done to keep the 'spark' going as you go through your relationship and marriage. I know a lot of us have been with FH/FW for a long time...so this is applicable now....

FH and I met when I was 17 and he was 21. We were both living at home so it was hard to get some 'alone' time. We used to go out to dinner and get a hotel room for the night. We still periodically do that!! It makes it seem more secretive

A lot of times we will buy each other little things that weren't asked for, but that we know will be appreciated.

Re: QOTD 1/9

FH has a job whereby he is home for a month and then away for a month. So, that alone definitely keeps the spark alive because we don't ever take each other for granted, and it is so great to see him when he comes home everytime! Also, every time he is home (so once every other month) we have a 'date night' with just the two of us and usually includes going out to dinner or something along those lines... Hopefully this will continue after we get married and have children.

I guess just by doing little things for each other that we know will be appreciated...

We just try to be considerate of each other...If we are at the store and see something that we think the other person would like/need we get it. We try to go out to dinner every once in a while just to get out and have a change of scenery, even if its just the diner!

I think just making sure to have date nights, weekend getaways when possible, and to do little romantic gestures for one another to show that you still care will keep the spark alive.

We always wanna keep doing our dates night every now and then, something special usually. We go to the city, go see a show, go for a nice dinner. It's just good to keep spending quality time with each other and always try new things.

He is much more affection, so he will want to hold my hand or give me a kiss when I least expect it. But, I think I'm more romantic, I will send him chocolates to work or surprise him with a trip. Stuff like that. I think it's just keeping the surprises alive.

Re: QOTD 1/9

we have a bunch of little cutsey-wootsey tactics that we have done, and still do. pretty much once a day... i will be home, and i will watch her for a few minutes, doing whatever... washing dishes... typing on the computer... etc. and as i'm watching... i realize how lucky i am.

i know... gh-ey... but true indeed.

plus the whole 90-day plan is a cool idea!!

Edited for spelling

Re: QOTD 1/9

Well FH and I pretty much live together but what I like to do is 2 nights a week (every other day) hang out with my family and sleep home. Makes us appreciate eachother more when we do see eachother even though it's only one day.
Also the whole date/dinner thing is great! We havent done that in a while due to money and we went on vacation in Nov. BUT I did get him ranger tickets for the end of Feb so we have a date then CAN'T WAIT!!

Good question btw.

Now that I'm back in a regular 9-5 job our routine will be to spend all day Sundays together just vegging out. Watching TV, reading, listening to music, etc. Well, and other stuff And we try to get a date night at least once a month to a nice restaurant.

i always try to get him coffee ready or breakfast before he wakes up, or on my way home from work ill grab him his fave dessert...i guess just by doing little things like that.... then of course theres a whole list of naughty things the keep the other spark alive

we just try to switch things up by going to different places and trying new things. FH's schedule is really weird so it does make the time we have together more appreciated. I always like to keep him guessing as well {trying different hairstyles, etc}, so I think that helps too.

we go out to dinner once a week, and vacation 2 times a yr.. we also do a lot of day trips.

living together for 3 yrs ...is kind of hard. sometimes we dont pay eachother any attention at all. we actually had a talk about that last nite... soooooooooo, he wills top fixing things around the house , and i wont be on liw that much when we're both home loll

we also have special dances lmao.. we're super GH-EY! im like 'bust a beattttttt!!!' and he starts fake beat boxing..(he doesnt knwo how) and i do like a pee wee herman dance...

we did that infront of his dad once, and his dad was speechless.. like '*** is wrong with u 2?' he just sat there like ...wow...
