Q.O.T.D 2/10/12

Question: How long were you and your FH dating before he popped the big question and was it a complete suprise?

My Answer: We are dating for 5years before he asked me to marry him and we have 1 son together and I have another son from a previous relationship. I knew sooner or later he would pop the question and yes it was a great suprise

5 years too and a huge surprise. We had discussed it, and went ring shopping/scoping in the past , but I thought I would have to go shopping with him and pick it. He surprised me big time by a few months earlier than expected and with a smokin' hot ring.

we were dating 10 years popped the question on 10/24/2009 in central park in front of tavern on the green and we are getting married on 9/7/12 going to start a family ASAP after the wedding

We were dating for 10 months and although we talked about it, it was a surprise on the day that it happened and even more of a surprise that he went ring shopping with my two daughters and the three of them kept such a big secret.

We were together a year and a half when he proposed. We'd talked about it before, but he kept pushing Christmas on me so when he asked in June I was completely surprised!

We were together a little over 2 and 1/2 years. We had talked about it every now and then but never really talked about it. Then one day he had a jeweler come to our place and told me to pick the diamond I wanted. We had a cruise booked for the following April so I assumed it would be done then. He proposed two weeks after I picked out the diamond!

We were dating for almost 4 years. The fact that we were getting engaged was not a surprise since I went with him to pick the ring. How he proposed was a huge surprise.

We dated almost 2 yrs before he proposed. I was definitly surprised. He picked out the ring and everything. I had no part. Thank god the man did good LOL We got engaged Labor Day weekend and I thought for sure it would be later in the year. Best surprise ever!!

He proposed on our 5 year anniversary by walking me home after dinner (I wanted to walk home even though it was freezing) and popping the question in the freezing cold in front of a Tae Kwon Do center. He said he knew I wouldn't like a cliche wedding proposal at the restaurant.

We were together for 3 years and it was a surprise (he wanted it more than I did) but his nervous behavior hinted at it.

FH proposed on our 4yr anniversary. I knew it was coming at some point b/c we talked about getting engaged but didn't know when.

We were dating one month shy of 6 years. He whisked me away to Lake George for the weekend and proposed on the beach, writing will you marry me in the sand. We had talked about getting married so it wasnt a complete shock but he picked the ring all by himself and did an AMAZING job. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect proposal!

And to make it even better we booked our reception hall on November 19th, 2011, our 6 year anniversary! Best anniversary gift ever!

FH and I were dating for just over 6 1/2 years. We had been talking about it a lot and at the time he was living out of the country. I knew when he came back we'd be getting engaged, so although I was surprised the day it happened, I was anticipating it every time we hung out LOL

We were dating for about 3 1/2 years. I knew it was coming since we were talking about it. My mother almost ruined it by reading a text aloud from him saying something about it, but I thought he was going to pick out a ring that day. Little did I know he proposed that night and had the ring for months!
