QOTD 2/11/09

Hi ladies,

It has been another busy day for me ...

If you could have would you have quit your job to focus on wedding planning?

If so - do you think you would be as stressed with the planning process?

What has been the most frustrating thing for you when it came to working and wedding planning?

What made me think of this is when on 'Whose Wedding is it Anyway?' They are like 'Lauren quit her job after getting engaged to plan her wedding...'

And I always think why?

Wellll, without this job, my wedding wouldn't be possible! So, I think I'd be MORE stressed! I love wedding planning but enjoy taking the time off from it sometimes - makes me feel less like a crazy person. Luckily, work hasn't gotten in the way of the planning for me at all.

I wouldn't quit my job for planning but it definitely would be less stressful to plan without working full-time!!

I definitely would NOT quit my career to plan my wedding I saw that girl on TV too and I guess I just dont understand it lol

Overall, we will be engaged for a year and a half before we get married and I feel like I'm running out of stuff to do (I know im a weirdo). I havent really found the process that stressful. It seems like its only as stressful as you make it.

I wouldn't...this is how the wedding is being paid for. Plus I do meeting and events for a living.

I think wedding planning and no other job would make a bride more crazy. It's nice to have time away from it.

The most aggravating part for me has been compiling the guest list and addresses. It's hard work to get everything together from everyone. I can not wait until the inviations are done and out.

I don't think I would quit just for wedding planning...though I'd really like to take off the whole month of November for all final appointments and preparation, but that's my busiest month

Now, if I hit the jackpot and didn't NEED to work...that's a completely different story.

hmmnnn......well the thought sounds fun but I'm sure after a few days it would get old fast.
I'm not in front of a computer for work, so I always look forward to going home (or having a day off) to plan/research...and surf LIW.

I don't think I'd be more stressed (I'm actually not stressed at all, I LOVE doing all this.)

Most frustrating? Hmnn...maybe just that work has been SO stressful and high pressured to the point it makes me want to quit to wedding plan. LOL.
But then I come to my senses.

I would not quit a job to plan a wedding but I must say being unemployed for me has made me cut certain extras I wanted but has also given me so much free time to plan things exactly how I want and take so much time to get what I want at a good price.

I wish I had a job

If I didn't have to work I wouldn't, but my job and my coworkers have been so amazing to me, letting me vent about all of this wedding stuff, so I wouldn't quit THIS job, if it was my old job I woulda quit in half a second!!!

Lately, the most stressful part of wedding planning is having to possibly change the venue, we won't know anything until Friday and now we're on pins and needles, on the one hand it would solve so many problems and make my parents so excited about the wedding, on the other hand, I'd be kinda bummed out, due to the fact that it wouldn't be my DREAM venue, however, everything else would be the same, I just feel like we've cut back and made so many concessions for things that are just not in our control, it just ***** out loud!!!!!!!!!!! (okay vent over)

I would have to keep my job to pay for the wedding but I would LOVE to quit my job just in general......the most annoying thing for me with the wedding planning is all the opinions I've been getting. It gives a really negative tone to all the planning that I actually really like to do. People need to just keep their mouths shut

def would not quit to plan but also I'm just not planning THAT much b/c cutting out so many little extras. . I would quit my job to do lots of other things. . I have been trying and am finally staging a musical I wrote and that has taken TEN times as much planning as my wedding so right now wedding just seems like ARGH haven't even touched it and am so far behind. .
