Hey hey hey!!

I was just talking to my FH's best man about his speech because he is going to be using the plasma screen ( still not sure why lol ) While we were talking my question came to me! When is comes to the speeches, what is something that you hope will be mentioned and what's something that you are really hoping doesn't come up??

I hope that my sister talks about the beginning and how everyone wanted us to be together even though we didn't see it but I really hope that nothing comes up about how I slept at his house all of the time and lied to my parents. Obviously there's nothing they can do now but I just rather that never be spoken about haha

Haha great Q. My sister tends to have no filter so I made her swear on her life she wouldn't say anything rated R. She's gonna open up with saying that he married the wrong sister She's always thought he was great and wished he had a brother. Obviously she'll have to clarify because some people might think she's serious! But I hope she mentions how he never gave up and believed in us when I wasn't sure I wanted to date.

Good original questions! Hmm, I have wondered about this bc FH's brother/best man is younger, so sometimes I am afraid he will try a little too hard and it will come across in a bad way.

I would have no problem with him poking fun at how serious we got and so fast (we were 20 and in front of me, FH told his family he was planning to propose after graduation..I almost died). I expect him to make fun of how FH is such a nerd- video games,obsession with batman, etc. He has said to FH before that he can't believe that I love him for those things, not because I have to tolerate them. So I hope he mentions this stuff, I think it would be a great way to go from the poking fun to something sentimental.

I really hope he doesn't go anywhere x-rated. FH and I are young, and our sexual history is limited to each other--so any joke about that kind of stuff pre-marriage would make me very uncomfortable. Yes my parents know we have lived together for 3 years, but its kind of a dont ask dont tell policy haha.

I don't even want speeches, so my sister is keeping hers to under 2 mins and the best man is literally doing a toast and that's it. I have no preference for what is said/isn't said because I honestly don't even think anybody listens to them lol.. It is the #1 thing I hate most about weddings!! Our family/friends always make jokes about how the speeches suck at all of the weddings we've been to, so we would rather they go REALLY quick so that we can get on the dance floor and have fun:)
