QOTD 2/13/14

First I just want to say I hope everyone stays safe during this snow storm!

For today's question i was wondering have you and ur FH picked out your first dance song yet? If so, what is it and what made you pick it?

Fh and I FINALLY picked out our wedding song last week. We've been engaged for over a year and a half...and every time we picked a song we both sorta liked i'd end up changing it. I didn't feel like any song was 'truly us', until I came across a classic...'Have I told you lately that I love you' by Rod Stewart is going to be our wedding song! As cheesy as it sounds we use to text each other 'Have i told you today that i love you?' all the time so this song had meaning to it for us, so i think it's safe to say were all set now for our first dance as husband and wife hehe!

This weather is craziness, stay off the roads if you don't have to go anywhere...

Now I love this question... We talked for a short period of time about a few different options and then came across the song that was most defintely made for us.. It's from the movie Anastasia, it's called At The Begining... The lyrics are basically telling our story and we loved that the song starts out slow but then picks up a bit... Everytime I hear it I get goosebumps :)

Yes the roads are really bad. I am at work and the roads are just getting worse. Stay inside if you could.

We haven't picked a song yet because we aren't sure what type of song we want to dance to. FH has said a few songs and a few I vetoed. There has been one or two I said I would listen to.

Stay safe everyone! Snow hasnt started picking up here, supposed to get bad around 2 PM. You guys have had way more snow than us this year in Binghamton!

FH and I are deciding between 'Close your eyes' and 'Crazy Love' by Michael Buble. Personally I like the lyrics of 'Crazy Love' better and think they're more relevant... But he really likes 'Close Your Eyes', and it seems like it may be easier to dance to. It also makes me cry, not sure I want to be sobbing during the first dance. Hopefully if I listen to it enough beforehand I'll be okay :)

Are any of you planning on taking dance lessons? I am about the worst dancer there is so we may have to! Haha

We are be our first dance song isn't a typical small song. It's got a little more rock feel so it's a little faster then a typical slow song....that and FH doesn't know how to dance at all!!!

Ugh so over this winter! I have been shoveling all day!! Be safe ladies!!

Fh didn't like pop or most of today's hits he more of a rock guy . So I waited to make sure he like the song to. A 2014 bride posted her song somewhere and I decided to give it a listen and it was so us! So I stole it too lol! It's 'heres to us' by halestorm. One day I sent him a bunch of sins I liked and he just kept going no, no, no....finally when I sent him that one he was like OMG YES, that's it that's sui is!

OMG I love that movie and that song!! :) That movie has an awesome soundtrack, that's fantastic and unique pick for a wedding song!

I love Michael Buble, we almost picked close your eyes too but then i forgot someone we know got married this past yr and that was their song so i felt like we were copying them lol so we had to switch.
