~QOTD 2/15/10~

Happy Monday, ladies! Hope that you all had a good Valentine's Day, and that most of you have off for the holiday today! On to the QOTD...

I think we did this a long time ago, but there are so many new girls! Tell us your something old, new, borrowed, and blue!

My something old might end up being my veil (since it was my moms) - something blue could end up being my garter - new would def be my wedding dress.

Not really happy w/ the blue though - i was thinking of getting a blue pedicure but we'll see what happens along the way!

Totally forgot borrowed - the thinky you wear under your dress for that added puff (if i need it), gonna use a friends

haven't really thought too much about this yet,... but my something blue will probably me my garter (I want a Yankees one) lol
nwe will be the dress obviously.. i dont know about old and borrowed though!

Sweet, I like this question since, I actually found out last night what my old borrowed and blue is going to be!

Something New: My Dress and Shoes, and a whole bunch of other things bc since i'm paying for this wedding, I'm spoiling myself!

Something Old Borrowed and Blue: It's going to be an opal necklace (The stone has a beautiful light blue tint) that my dad gave my mom for Valentines Day the year before they were married. My oldest sister wore it for her wedding, my 2nd oldest will be wearing it for her wedding coming up this september, My mom really wants to keep it a tradition, something that will last when she's gone. :)

something old...we're making a pocketbook out of my mom's wedding dress and i'm going to get a broach that was my grandmothers.
something new...dress obviously
something borrowed...one of my friends is letting me borrow her veil
something blue...i think I'm going to do saphire blue shoes

Something old: This is the only thing Im not sure of yet.

Something new: My dress, shoes, etc.
Something borrowed: my aunt's tiara
Something blue: my garter (NY Rangers)

Something new: Dress
Something borrowed: NO CLUE
Something blue: Probably my garter

My something new is my wedding dress(duh!)

My something borrowed is my sister's headpiece.

My something old is a piece of my great-grandmother's wedding dress that every woman on my mom's side of the family has worn in their dress on their wedding day.

And my something blue, I don't know yet. I know it's usually the garter but I'm trying to figure out something different!

My friend did the 'i do' decals on the bottom of her shoes - they were soo cute. she didnt do them in blue, but made for a great picture!!!!

I haven't thought too much about this yet, but so far I have:

Something old: The baby bonett that I wore to my Christening was the type that when you remove a few stiches it becomes a wedding hankie. My mom gave it to me the day we went dress shopping. She said she's had it in her dresser drawer for my entire life.

Something New: my dress

I honestly have no idea lol i would have to ask her.. but i feel you might be able to find them at Michael's or something like a craft store that sells sewing type stuff.

Something Old = possibly my great grandmother's earrings (but I don't know what they look like so I will decide when I see them). Otherwise, I have no idea.

Something New = my dress

Something Borrowed = if it goes with my dress and if she can find it, my SIL's veil. If not, then I do not know lol

Something Blue = I may do something like a garter with blue on it (but I'm not diong the garter toss so I don't even know if I want one).

My something old will prob be a hanky that will be made from my christening hat and my g-mas pearls..something new will be veil and dress shoes etc. Something borrowed I dunno yet and something blue I'm thinking lingerie

New will be my gown...
Old & borrowed, I'm not so sure yet.
For my something blue, I have an unreasonable obsession with Jim Henson characters - mainly, Grover...I have a teenie tiny Grover that's like 2' tall and stuffed with beans...he will either be in the pocket of my gown (should I have a gown with pockets), or in my emergency bag. FH is thrilled.
