Has your vision of your wedding changed once you started really planning?
Before we got engaged we thought we would get married in either Brooklyn or Long Island City at one of the trendy restaurants. For some reason we actually thought it would be less expensive than one of the halls on LI. Boy were we mistaken!!! LOL. It's funny though now that we're like half way through planning I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere but the Watermill!!!

Nope! I knew what I wanted our wedding to be like and what kind of place I wanted it at.

It hasn't changed yet, and I don't plan on it changing, however, our reception hall (Larkfield Manor) is still under construction and we haven't seen the inside yet sooooo with that being said, it could change the look of the decor for me if the inside looks so drastically different than the drawings I've seen so far... .

I thought I wanted a simpler wedding than the one I'm having. Mostly because I thought I wouldn't have the budget for bells & whistles. However, with some DIY and my parents offering some help. I was able to dress it up a bit and realized it was what I truly wanted all along.

I have a lot more bling than I expected. I wanted a lace dress but got a dress with bling all over, table number frames have bling, cake topper has bling, candle centerpieces have bling, etc. Loving all the sparkle.

As time goes on, it becomes closer and closer to my dream wedding. Mostly thanks to FH, who turned out to be far more willing to go all out and over the top than I ever expected!

We went from having a cocktail reception at a restaurant on the water with less than 100 people to a full on wedding at a catering haul and inviting 140 people.
