* QOTD 2/20 *

Today has been a pretty busy day so far.......went to the Gyno....fun fun ....then went to Michael's to buy ribbon for my programs...then made a payment with my DJ....which brings me to the question.....

What is the one thing that you are splurging on that your FH thinks is ridiculous and not worth the money??????

For me it's the perimeter lighting. I have always dreamed of my reception room to kind of having a pink glow to it. My FH thinks this is a total waste of money and he is upset that I have added it to the contract!!!! I just know he will appreciate it when he sees the room and when he sees our pictures!!!

We are not really spending extra on anything.....FH is having the trumpeteer at the church which I think is a waste....

MY DJ! FH thought it was ridiculous to spend that much $$ on it but I thought that was the most important part. BUT then again...FH complains about all the $$$ being spent!!

Um, that FH thinks is ridiculous? Having a wedding.

Probably photo and video...I think HE'S the one being ridiculous though, because for what and who we're getting, our package is more than extremely fair. He really thinks everything is overpriced and ridiculous though...he doesn't seem to get that in survive on LI, you need to charge X amount to make a living.

FH has had no problems with things I'm doing , but my mom on the otherhand thinks invites should just have been boxed ones to save a little

Actually nothing, he wants me to spend more but, we have to stick with the budget. Escpecially now that he wants to look for a house alot sooner then expected.

so stranger for us its the opposite..he wants to splurge on stuff like invitations food etc im trying to save..he thinks hes donald trump...i keep telling him we may have awesome invitations but how do we adress the rsvps to come back to the cardboard box we will be living in after u r done

We have been in agreement about most items. I wouldn't call it a splurge so much, but the only thing FH thought was silly for me to get was a cake topper.

well...FH is right there with me and actually 'gave the ok' to get them but I would say that my splurge is my Manolos!!! I love them though....and just because they are so fab...here they are!!!!

We added the pink lighting as well and FH thinks it's insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I was also at michaels today I think they know me on a first name basis now! :) LOL!!!!! but yes, the lighting, and also I went a little overboard on the flowers and linens, he thinks it's sitll for one day but I think it's important!!

To be honest, I can't think of anything that FH thought was ridiculous. I am still trying to work plasma screens into our budget at the last minute, but he thinks it is a little unnecessary. He doesn't go crazy about it though, especially when he knows something is important to me. I work hard and make the $ for my half of the bills, so he better not say anything!
