QOTD 2/20/13

Good morning everyone! Here is your QOTD ...

What is your favorite part of the weddings you have been to and did your prior experiences impact your planning your own?

Our favorite part of weddings is cocktail hour and we always said we didn't want to miss our own (we looooove eating!lol) so we're doing a reveal and most pictures before the ceremony and hope to be at most of our CH ...

Cocktail hour is always the best and I missed it at my cousin's wedding and one of my best friend's weddings because of pictures. We want to EAT and enjoy our wedding a little so we are taking pictures before the ceremony

Mine, honestly, is the ceremony. I have never ever NOT cried at one. That's the part I am looking forward to the most for mine.

After that, everyone can party and have a good time, but I'll know that my mission was accomplished.

THIS EXACTLY!!! We are doing a first reveal and getting all pictures out of the way with the exception of a few sunset shots over the water that we want (sunset is right at the begining of cocktail hour). Other than that we will be there to party once the cocktail hour starts!

Same here. One of my best friends wedding we took all the pictures before ceremony so everyone could enjoy CH.

I love the reception and dancing! As long as there is a great DJ with TONS of dancing I am always happy. Love my DJ too! Cant wait :)

I agree with everyone here. I love cocktail hour! I have it worked out right now where I won't have to miss it to take pictures. Though I may hide out in the bridal suite for a bit so I can stuff my face.

Hmm it is definitely a tie between cocktail hour (which we will be attending ours!!) and first dances...I love the way people surround a dance floor for the first dance so I cannot wait to see it happen at our wedding!

Mine is the cocktail hour too! We are also doing a 'First Look' and pictures before.. Our RH has such great food I didn't want to miss a minute.. Plus I wanted to really mingle with my guests...

Also love the dancing! My friend had zap shots on the plasma screens which was fun to look at, so I added those on to my DJ package.

ugh me too! I cry at weddings even if I don't even know both people that well! We are doing a reveal and I am hoping that rids most of my emotions so I am not a total mess during the ceremony. I am afraid of too much crying and running makeup in the middle of my ceremony!

oh but besides that it is really DANCING!! i LOVE music and dancing!! I have a lot of requests for the DJ to play, my friends and family and I are always the ones up there starting and ending the night on the dance floor no matter where we are! I can't wait!

We are very mindful of the consideration factor. Did the B & G do hat they can to accommodate guests at the wedding?
With that in mind, since we got engaged, we have paid attention to every detail to make sure the guests feel welcomed appreciated

Definitely cocktail hour! At my MOH's wedding we were stuffed in a downstairs room the entire cocktail hour - we missed the whole thing! I know doing pictures before the ceremony would give us more time, but I didn't want to do them. So we are doing most of our pictures in between the ceremony and reception.
