QOTD 2/23

good afternoon ladies...sorry it took me sooo long to write today..i have been out of my house since 8 am running around.......todays question is....................When do u ladies plan on looking to purchase a house w/fh? Are u planning on buying one before the big day and moving in or will u wait until you say 'i do'???

Me and fh have started looking already but fh knows that i wont move in until we r married...we r looking for a fixer uper so once we buy a house we wont be able to move in right away ne way...too much to renovate....

We would love to do it before.. but FH is in limbo looking for a teaching job....... and we are kinda going to wait it out.. we are thinking an apartment for a year and then start looking..

Well it is hard for us. Upon saving the money I have a son that will be going into 9th grade after us getting married. So I want to get a house 3-4 yrs down the road so my son doesnt have too MANY changes in his life. I'd also like to have the 1 baby I'm giving him, , before we get a house. This my plan but, who knows what life will let me do.

We are going to wait a while. My career is such that after Im done with grad school I can pretty much go anywhere, but its frowned upon to stay here. So maybe once I figure out where we will be going we will think about it.

We currently live in fh's father's house and hopefully after the wedding we're going to buy it. It's in a nice neighborhood and he's offering it at a ridiculously good price in comparison for what he could get for it.

I don't want a house (too much to clean, too much to fix etc)....I want a condo. And we're thinking of getting one around this time next year but we will move in after the honeymoon.

FH and I keep a look out on houses in certain areas all the time, whenever we see an opportunity to buy we most likely will, whether thats before or after the wedding i don't kno

We live together now in an Apt. but we really want to get a house. Since FH is in medical school he does not have an income so we will wait until he graduates ( A month before the wedding!!) and then start to look for a house!

it depends on our financial situations. we would love to have one to move into after the honeymoon but i doubt that is going to happen. so hopefully soon after the wedding we can afford one.

FH and I live in an apartment that is cheap and includes every utility and cable and internet. We'll probably stay here for a few more years while we save.

We live in apt right now we are probably just going to upgrade to a nicer apt before we get married. We'll start looking for a house probably a year after we're married.

we're hoping to get an apt before we get married...and then 1+ years after the wedding, we'll start looking for a house...we'd love to do it sooner, but its kinda hard saving money for a wedding annnd a house all at the same time.

We have an apt together now. We look around at houses a little. Hopefully shortly after the wedding we seriously look.

We were looking before we got engaged, but then we decided to save the money for the wedding and hopefully the market would come down a bit. I have no idea when we are going to start looking again but I would like to have a house or condo before we get married.

Well the FH and I own a co-op together for the last 2 years so we do pay a mtg but we are already want a house. We look around every now and then but probably won't be serious about it for another few years.
