Our honeymoons are coming up fast!!! Just think.....tropical, sun, drinks with cute little umbrellas..... sounds great!!!
with vacation on the brain what is the best vacation you have taken with FH?? was it the most romantic or a spontaneous get away??
my best vacation with FH was to aruba last year. it was awesome!!! we layed by the pool all day sipping drinks and had the best time time at night. we have awesome dinners and traveled into town. we even had dinner on the beach one night with our shoes off and our toes in the water. i cant wait to go back!

our favorite vacations have always been going out to montauk in the spring (memorial day weekend)... THE BEST!!!!!! hopefully we can go again this year- we have so many other weddings in addition to our own... we may not be able to afford it

Best vacation would have to be Punta Cana, DR. He proposed to me at exactly midnight on our 3 yr anniversary at the entrance of our beautiful villa. Unforgettable. Resort was great too!!!!

St. Lucia with FH last summer. He decided that he did not want an engagement gift so I planned a trip for us instead. It was so much fun!

We never traveled far together yet....that's why Ireland is going to be so much more awesome. But, the best place we went together was montauk... since our anniversary was only days before Christmas...we decided to celebrate it in June...and we went there to Montauk and had the most awesome time each year. Made friends with some locals - found out about the 'hidden' bars.. LOL... it was all so much fun. We look foward to going each year. I hope we contiue it once we get married as well.

our best was Italy right after we got engaged. We were so happy and so in love. It was perfect. I wish we were still there!

We don't go away overnight together due to the strict families (well, we went to Shelter Island for a weekend, but with the whole clan, so that was hardly romantic), so I'm going to have to say the first time we took a day trip up to Newport. It was the farthest we'd been away together, it was a beautiful sunny day in August but only like 75 degrees, and just so much fun to explore together.

mmmmm vacation!!!
our best trip was definitely last August; we sailed (yes, sailed!) from Northport (where we live) to Block Island.
We stayed one night in Port Jefferson, and the second night we stayed in Orient by the Sea, where we had dinner in the restaurant and slept on the boat in a slip. Even though quarters were tight (FH's boat is 31ft) it was soooooooo romantic, I felt like we were the only two people on earth. We woke up at dawn to set sail to Block the next day and it was FREEZING, but watching the sun rise over the Atlantic was unforgettable. The whole trip was 8 days, and it was magical -- I'd never been to BI before. There was not a SINGLE CLOUD in the sky for the entire time we were there; the water was crystal clear, and it was 80 degrees every day. We had a blast, just drank wine, ate awesome meals in cute restaurants (we BBQed on the boat a few times!), cruised around on the moped, and lounged / read / played scrabble on the beach.
Sighhhh........
I forgot to mention..... about 2 miles outside of Block Island we saw a SEA TURTLE swimming!!! HE WAS HUGE, like 6 ft long EASILY. I didn't even know they dwelled in the northeast.

Our first vacation together was last february in Punta Cana. IT was absolutely amazing! AMAZING place and beautiful resorts!!!! People were awesome....it was the first time we got to be with each other non stop for a week straight and it was when i realized i wanted to marry him!

Our first trip was to Disney and it was great but the most romantic and best trip we took was the trip to Hawaii in Oct. 07!
16 days of sun, sand, adventure, tropical drinks, etc. It was there that we both realized we were going to get married. Our last night FH said to me as we were walking on the beach not to be sad because we'll be back here on our HM.
The best part was that I had just spent 16 days with him day and night and yet when we came home and I had to go to work, I missed him so much. I thought if I just spent all that time with him and yet I miss him now, he's the one!

Besides weekend trips to Boston we went on our first 'real' vacation last April. 5 days at LeBlanc Spa and Resort. The most relaxed I have ever been and it was great to share it with FH

We went to Croatia two summers ago. FH has family there and we had such an amazing time, we didn't want to leave!

Our best vacation may have been the first one.... to Hershey, PA in the dead of winter.
We took my car and I had dark tinted windows at the time.... we pulled into the parking garage and the man directing us told us 'that's a nice shady job you got there' we were dying!!!!
Then our door wouldnt open for like an hour, we had to get maintenance to come up and help once we got in and since we had just started dating recently all we wanted to do was once we got to the room - not wait for someone to fix the door. Again, we were hysterical at trying to you know what quickly enough to beat maintenance busting in declaring 'they fixed it!!!'
On our way back it was a ridiculous blizzard. You know those news broadcasts where it's one f'ing crazy car driving across a sheet of paper - THAT was us!
We stopped at a roadside place to eat and asked for directions since there was a detour and they told us to drive OVER the mountain - in my REAR wheel drive car.
We had to pull over and clear off the windshield wipers and in one case I got stuck in a tremendour ditch -- fh literally had to drag the car out of it.
All of this makes it seem like the most terrible vacation ever but I look back on it with such funny memories! It's going to be hard to top!

Best vacation was celebrating our engagement, we went ot Disney, stayed at the Polynesian, and had the most amazing time, we went to Emeril's restaurant, went to the Luau, pool in the morning, parks, we had such a great time, just us, it was so nice to not have to think about anything else for a while!
