So I dragged FH to see a band with me last night, and not only did we not like them, but when I told him the cost of the band, he almost fell off his chair. He thinks I'm out of control with my spending, but I keep telling him if I could plan for less money, I would. So that got me thinking...
If your FH was planning your wedding by himself, what do you think it would look like?
If my FH was planning our wedding, the color scheme would be blue and orange, since he is a huge Knicks and Mets fan. He would have a Fudgie the Whale cake from Carvel, and the vows would literally last 3 minutes, since he doesn't really like public speaking. He'd be wearing a pair of Jordans instead of shoes, and we'd probably have an iPod with all his rap on it playing. There would be no veggies or anything slightly healthy looking, and he'd love if White Castle could cater. Also, it definitely wouldn't start at 11:30 in the morning, he'd probably set it up so we had to start getting ready at like 5PM. He is NOT a morning person.
Cute question! I think our wedding would be a lot smaller in size and details... up until a year ago my FH had never attended a 'NY wedding'. He's from CT and they do things VERY differently there. Things that are 'normal' to us here in LI are unheard of in CT. He would be satisfied with much less stuff, but I know it would still be beautiful. He's been a big help through all of this and I couldn't be more thankful to feel like it's OUR wedding. :)
I try explaining to people what a Long Island wedding is like... and they don't understand it. lol

My cousin got married in Arkansas. People were dressed in jeans, and the reception was cheese and crackers in the church gym followed by an all you can eat dinner at kfc. Talk about culture shock!

My FH would plan for us to go to the justice of peace and have a small dinner with our parents.

we would have a huge bash on a rooftop with a manhattan skyline to look at. in all fairness we found a great place but it was way to out of our budget :-/ we both loved it

This question just makes me giggle, but I love it!
My FH loves to do things last minute, so I can only imagine how he would pull the entire thing together lol. I could totally see an iPod for the DJ, his cooking for the main dish, and so on!
Thank goodness for us ladies!

Love this question! Hmmmm.... If he had it his way, he would have the islanders be his groomsmen, it would probably be video game themed.. The colors would probably be green and orange, and everyone would be wearing gym shorts... Our food would be burgers and fries, but mostly desert...and the whole thing would start super early and end super early because he's always tired :)

hahaha I'm sure it would be held at the Caesars Club at Citi Field because he's a huge Mets fan. Mr. Met would be there and L&B would provide the food. Spumoni for dessert along with something with chocolate & peanut butter!
