First safe travels out there everyone... The roads are a mess...
So today's question comes from our recent travel booking. Since meeting and dating have you started any sort of trip or vacation that has become a tradition?
We take two mini vacations each year. Instead of exchanging Valentine's gifts we go skiing at Camelback for a weekend in February. We also celebrate our yearly anniversary (the day we met) out in Mattituck at this amazing Bed and Breakfast called Cedar House on the Sound (which I highly reccommend if you're ever looking for a place on the North Fork).
We'd like to travel more unfortunatley it adds up financially, but hopefully sooner rather then later we can add more destinations that we can make traditions...
Stay warm and safe

Sadly we haven't started any real sort of travel traditions yet. We have our own separate weekends once an year where he does a guys weekend and I do a girls weekend with my friends.
You stay safe too.

LOVE this question. Just sent FH an email telling him to research honeymoon ideas so I can have warm thoughts on this snowy day.. Anyway.. For a while we had the same tradition as you for Valentine's Day only we would go to either Mt Snow in Vermont or Jiminy Peak in Mass. Because we both started new jobs in the past year and next V-Day my brother is getting married we have to skip it for a couple years which is a bummer. Looking forward to bringing that back though. We also try and take a more tropical vaca in June every year. We went on a cruise one year.. this year we are going to Puerto Rico! Woohoo!
P.S. I love the North Fork.. I used to work at a hotel out there and it was like going on vacation every time I went to work. Miss it all the time!

we do snowboarding camelback mountain every year in February too! other then that we usually surprise each other with vacations for birthdays and Christmas. This year we are going to FL for 10 days. I finish school in December so I'm probably going to end surprising him with a 5 day trip to Playa Del Carmen for the new year :)

FH and I go to Strawberry Park Campground for weekend trips and atleast 1 week long trip every Summer. FH's parents bought a campsite when him and his brothers were younger because they went there all the time. It isn't real camping though its a trailer with a kitchen, bedroom, living room, bathroom it is our home away from home.

We used to go Hot Air Ballooning at the Adirondack Hot Air Balloon Festival the end of Sept 2009 and 2010. I had always wanted to try it and LOVED it!
FH was let go due to the budget where he worked and they downgraded his job from needing a PhD to a lesser degree. He is a Biochemist and still looking for work.
I look forward to doing this again with him when things get better. It is So much fun and the views are beautiful.
