Since the running of the brides is tomorrow: Would you ever consider going to an event like this? Do you think you would find your dress there, and do you think you would regret buying that dress(or have second thoughts) after the fact?
Honestly - I would love to go.. just to go!!! I really don't know if i would find a dress there amid all the chaos! I would need to bring someone with me and everyone I asked thinks I am certifiably crazy for even thinking of going! lol I am also afraid that I would find a GREAT dress.. adn 6 months later I woudl hate it. but then again, if it was only $250, I dont think i'd care about buying a new dress! hmm.. somethign to think about!

Totally want to but just like you everyone thinks I am nuts for asking or even thinking about going. I posted a thread a few months ago because I was trying to get a few of us but I was still new to the site and didn't push it-
I know they have one in the summer at the Manhasset one but they recently changed to Syms so, I am not sure if they will be having it anymore in LI

I really want to but I hate crowds...but I think I'm going to go for fun after work to see if there's something that i might like...even though the wedding's not for another year and a half!!!

Nope never wanted to. I HATE big crowds. I feel trapped and start to get annioux. No beuno. Those darn mosh pits as a teen have scared me for life.

I don't know if I would have the patience to be fighting at an event like this. Just my luck me and 10 other girls would want to grab the same dress at the same time and am trying to stay out of trouble.
Ideally, I would love to find a dress but I don't think I'll find it during the running of the brides since I like to take my time to look around. JMO

i think i'd go for fun - I'm generally pretty calm, so hopefully I'd be able to handle it. I prob wouldn't get a dress there bc i like to take my time making decisions...if I did buy something, I *might* end up regretting it since there is prob so much pressure to make a quick decision

I'd love to experience it but I'd be hesitant on buying. Then again, if I can get a good deal, I might purchase a 'second dress' so I could be more comfortable. But IA with you, It can put you in a thinking situation...
