So for today's QOTD.........


Let's talk about our BP today who is your BM/MOH? What relation are they to you? Why did you choose these people? Are you happy with your choice? Is there any drama in your BP on the whole? How big is it? Do you wish it were larger or smaller? Why?

My BM is FH's brother, my MOH is my bff :) I picked MOH because I promised I would in HS No, because I have no sisters and she's the closest thing to one I've ever had. FH picked his brother to avoid hurt feelings among his friends, although his brother is 12 years younger than he is and can't come to the bachelor party!!!!!!! I love MOH, I wouldn't have chosen anyone else, I'm not too close with FBIL, but if FH is happy so am I! Theres a little drama, people not wanting to help out, or just not answering emails, etc, but on the whole only 2 people give me trouble, his sisters!!!!! we have 9 girls and 7 guys, although I would have liked to had maybe 6 or 7 girls, but I'm glad that we have so many people that love us, however, gifts for 16 people isn't cheap...but....it's for the greater good!!!! :)

The BM has been FH's best friend since they were about 5... the MOH is my only sister.

We have 5 BMs and 6GMs so I think it's a good size.

No real drama so far except for a little bit with FSIL that wasn't a big deal... fingers crossed it stays smooth sailing!

I have a laaarge BP.. LOL. 10 girls in total...but 5 of them are kids...so it's not really THAT bad. LOL. I have 2 MOHs.... one is my older sister is one, b/c she's more then just a sister to me but one of my closest firends...awww....and then my other MOH is my best freiend...we clicked right away. I've only known her for about 3 years now, but she's awesome. She knows me better then alot of ther people know me. The rest of my BP is 3 BMs...1 in my oldest sister...then my FSIL and my oldest neice whos taller the me! LOL. Then I have 3 JrBms... my 3 other neices...love them to death! They are going to be adorable! LOL. Then, I have 2 FGs... my FSILs kids...yaaay!! lol. They are soooo soooo cute! LOL. With these current girls...there's been minmal drama... lol. Just my oldest sister...but I already knew that when I asked her that there would be dreama. LOL. I lost one BM...she was my old HS friend...said that she couldn't afford it, but meanwhile she was buying new rims for her car... LOL> Oh well..due to her lying to me we both have become very disatnt. Then she has the nerve to tell me that I should stay in contact with her...meanwhile doesn't the phone work two ways..?? Other then that...everything has been fine, fun, and greeat...

Why did you choose these people? They are my family and best friends and i love them

Are you happy with your choice? Yes

Is there any drama in your BP on the whole? No drama.. maybe a little dissapointment

How big is it? 1 moh, 2 bm's, 1 flower girl, 1 best man, 3 gm's

Do you wish it were larger or smaller? It could have been so much bigger but we just included family or really close friends to keep it small, personal, and affordable. Sometimes I wish it was bigger...but I know on my wedding day I will be happy with my choice.

who is your BM/MOH? My two sisters are the MOHs - can't choose between them. The BM is still to be determined. FH hasn't picked yet.

Why did you choose these people? The're my 2 sisters and my best friends.

Are you happy with your choice? VERY

Is there any drama in your BP on the whole? Yup0 drama. FMIL wants FHs sister in the BP. I realy don't want her, but she's his only sibling. However, I've only met her like 5 times and we have absolutely ZERO relationship. FH doesn't either. To top it off, she lives out of state and shows absolutely no interest in the wedding.

How big is it? 2 MOHs, 3 GMs (possibly another BM - see above)

Do you wish it were larger or smaller? It's perfect the way it is!

Who is your BM/MOH?

The BMs are FH's 2 brothers. He didn't want to decide between them because he is closer to both of them then they are to each other. So I told him he should pick them both.

The MOH is Petya. She is from Bulgaria and lives in Paris. I am an only child but Petya is my sort of my sister.

Why did you choose these people?

She was an exchange student (sort of) who lived with us my freshmen year of HS and her senior year. She went to the Hewlett School in East Islip, so we were her host family even though I was in public school. I had a friend who went there and her mom asked my mom if we would be interested in hosting her. I say sort of exchange student because it was actually her third year at the school so we met her before we took her, to make sure she could fit into our family. She spoke perfect English. When she went to college and we stayed her family, we brought her to school and set up her dorm, I would visit her and she came home on holidays. Then I went to the same college. So she really is like a sister to me. We always said we would be each others MOH, but she is unlikely to have a traditional wedding.

Are you happy with your choice?

I couldn't imagine having anyone else, but its hard with her living in Paris, she isn't really involved at all. In hindsight I should have had 2. I thought about it but when I felt it out at my e-party I didn't think Petya would be happy with that. The girl who would have been my second has stepped up anyhow so I call her bm #1, my mom and I are getting her flowers that are a little bigger then the bms but smaller then MOHs.

Is there any drama in your BP on the whole?

No I was worried because they really didn't know each other. Two met once years ago and it was bad, so I was panicked, but BM bonding day went smoothly and everyone got along. The biggest drama has been with my BM getting married right before me, last minute. But its not really a problem... she is missing my shower but I understand, its her honeymoon.

How big is it?

1 MOH, 2 Best Men, 5 BMs, 4 GMs.

Do you wish it were larger or smaller?

I was very happy with the size, but recently I feel bad I left out one friend. But to add another friend for FH would be tough, I think he would have to add 3 if he added any. And I want it even, 6 guys, 6 girls.

My MOH is a friend of mine since 6th grade (17 years). We used to bump heads in HS until we were in the same college and discovered it's just because we are very much alike My other BMs are close friends - one I've known for 18 years and the other only a few years, but she's my work sister I'm very happy with the small BP - the wedding is only going to be 80-90 ppl anyway. I would have liked to incorporate some of the FSILs but three live in Ireland, and if I included one from here, then the others might feel left out

BM is FH's brother. i LOVE him. he is so close to his brother and his brother is always so nice to me!

MOH is my big sister.

i have 5 other BM. thankfully there is NO drama. they are all wonderful people and just genuinely excited for the wedding! i am BEYOND lucky!

so far thigns have been pretty good..few did not like my choice in a bm dress but what u gonna do i cant please everyone and i liked it

My sister is my MOH, I only have 1 sister so it was an easy choice for me to make. She has been wonderful so far and I love her for doing everything she has already for me. I couldnt imagine having anyone else next to me on my wedding day when I marry FH

My BP is 6 girls and I'm overall happy with the number. I've only had 1 BM that has caused probelms. She is a tad too opinionated and jealous and it is really affecting our friendship. I've been friends with her since I was 2 and I love her to death but she is just too much sometimes. I just lie and tell her I havent done 1/2 the things shes asked just to end the conversation. I hate talking about my wedding with her and its a horrible feeling since she is sharing in our special day

My MOH is my cousin. She is my only bridesmaid. I would have loved to have all my friends me a part of the wedding. But I felt that it would all become to complicated. I am happy with my decision, expecially when I see the drama some of you girls have with you Bps.

The Bridal Party

MOH: I chose my cousin because I don't have any sisters and we've always been fairly close. She is 3 years older than I am and will actually be 'matron of honor'. I am very happy with my choice

BM: Our best man is FH's only brother. FH was his best man so now he will be returning the favor.

BMs: I have 2 other BMs. The first is MOH's sister who I am also very close with. We've done a lot together when we were younger and her and MOH are like the sisters I never had. The other BM is a friend that I am very lucky to have. I met her through FH and she lives in VA. I hope that when I move to VA we'll become even closer. She's awesome.

GMs: One of the groomsmen is my brother. It means a lot to have him in our BP. The other GM is FHs best friend from elementary school. (Husband of my BM).

FG: MOH's daugher / my little cousin.

RB: Best Man's son / FHs nephew.

Thankfully there has not been any kind of issues with the BP and hopefully it stays that way. I just feel bad that my BM in VA couldn't be here to help pick out the dresses but when I see her next, I will go with her to get measured and we'll make it into a girl's day. I am happy to have the people closest to us be a part of our special day. And I think the size is decent... a BP too large wouldn't be friendly to our budget.

well i have 2 moh's, my 2 bestfriends. i have 12 girls though ah. lol, i love them all though.
fh has his bestfriend as his bm, he has 10 guys all together.

my 2 nieces are our flowergirls.

i originally didnt want a huge bridal party, but i wanted all of these people to be in it bc they all mean so much. so far, there hasnt been too much drama. a few things here and there though. its also veryy expensive but i have been buying things slowly.

2 others are my sisters. My sisters and i were never the tightest bc theyre both 10 and 13 yrs older than me and they both pretty much see me as a little kid still which kinda bothers me but whatevs.

No drama....i kept it small just so there wouldnt be any.

My MOHs are my two sisters...pretty much no choice there lol. BM is FH's brother...also pretty much no choice. The BP is pretty small...6 girls which is average I suppose, and 3 guys. FH has only officially asked 2 so far though. He also said he may be asking a 4th, a neighborhood friend who just moved back, but I'm trying to convince him that he shouldn't just because he's back now when they didn't really stay in touch. Plus he's getting married 6 months later, and he'll feel the need to reciprocate, and it will just cause drama because it's an out of state wedding, bah.

I don't wish it was a smaller party, but I sure don't wish it was larger. I don't think I could manage much more than 9-10 people. It's relatively drama free...there's tension between two of my BMs, my two friends (the other 4 are all family), but they've seemed to at least come to cordial terms for me, so that's all I can ask.

I also have a MMOH (mini maid of honor) shes my 8 year old sister and prob thebiggest help when it comes to the wedding!

yea def! 4 of my BMs and 3 of FH's GMs have dated!!(yes 2 bms hooked up with the same gm) !!!!! and none have lasted!!! sticky situations, gotta make sure they dont walk down the aisle together! def drama there....

then one bm thinks its her wedding, so thats a pain......
take the good with the bad huh?

We have a small BP: two guys and two girls... FMIL made a big deal about our decision not to have a ring bearer and flower girl, but it just wasn't in my vision. We are having a fairly small wedding (about 75 invited guests) and I wanted our BP to be intimate.
My MOH is FH's sister. I don't have any sisters of my own, and I've been really close with her since I started dating FH 12 years ago. Our BM is a friend of ours that we've known for what seems like forever and we're very close with. My Bridesmaid is my BFF and our Groomsman is FH's stepbrother. The only problem that I'm having with my BP is that my MOH seems to want to be a bridezilla even though she's not the bride! LOL!
All in all, I'm happy with what we've chosen.
