I know saving money where ever we can is a factor for just about all of us. I know we are all trying ot DIY a few things for our wedding.
What DIY project was the most difficult for you so far?
For me it is doing my own card box

So far all I have done is ordered the components for my center pieces. I am going to attempt a card box (wish me luck)!

Although it wasn't hard, the invitations were very time consuming.

Everything. I quit and started buying everything. So much for the DIY wedding I originally wanted....

Not really difficult but time consuming. Save the dates - coming up with the design was time consuming and I did them on my own, not thru vista print or magnet street or any other company. Putting them together took me about 2 days.
Ribbon wands - screwing in the eye screws, cutting, and knotting ribbons takes time and is tedious, kind of boring. Multiple hours...
Unity candle - coming up with a decent design is taking time, as I'm not that creative and haven't seen one that I like yet.. I might stick to plain at this point as I think those have looked the best so far.
Ring bearer pillow and coin pillow I know will be hard if I try to salvage my mom's. I have an idea in mind but finding fabric will be a pain and also time consuming to sew them both up the way I want it done. I'm not really a sewer, and what I want needs a lot of hand sewing. I'm about to just use the pillows that were given to me as a gift but that don't really match my stuff.
Making a lawn game that will require heavy power tools, now that will be difficult but I'm not starting that project until a few months from now when the weather is good outside and I do more research on how to build them.
Programs - design and layout will be a pain. again not creative.
Wedding handkerchief embroidery - ok that is difficult. Im practicing by hand different stitches on other scraps at the moment and its not perfect, but I don't want machine embroidery either.

The invites were a pain! They weren't all that hard, but very time consuming. The bubbles I did were nice and easy, and the programs are coming along nicely. Favors and seating cards next on the list. Im saving my cardbox for last... I know this will be a pain!
