QOTD 3-11-14

Many people on here it seems have been with their significant other for aawhile prior to getting engaged. But when did you know theywere 'the one'?

Ive been dating my FH for 6 years but 3 monthd into dating I knew ***** the one.we went through a rough patch in the middle of our relationship and broke up for a few months but I knew it was only temporary.

We have been dating since we were 17 so for a long time I obviously wasn't thinking about marriage. I wouldn't say that there was a time a knew I think as time went on I started to realize this wasn't just young love but it was going to last forever. We did have our own 'rough patch' too but though it was the worst at the time it probably the best thing to happen to us.

i've only been with my FH for a year. In that time we bought a house and got engaged. I actually broke up with him 2 times at the beginning. I was a year out of my divorce and he was so nice so i thought he would hurt me. He's a persistent SOB and wouldn't take no for an answer. That's when i knew he was a keeper. :)

I wish i remembered the exact moment that I knew he was the one. It was definitely within the first 6 months. I remember having a dumb argument with him where i was being a brat and he said something along the lines of 'I'm not going to play these games and have unnecessary fights with you. I'm not going anywhere. If you want to be with me then let's stop the nonsense.' It helped to know from the beginning he wasnt going to mess with my head like so many other dudes had done. I knew he was different

We are almost at the 3 year mark of dating, but have known each other for 4 years. I think within 6-8 months I knew.
