QOTD 3-26

Good Morning and Happy Hump Day Wednesday!!!

Today's topic is Wild Wish Wedding!!

What is something you are doing at your wedding others might think is wild or nontraditional? What is something you wish you could do that is wild or nontraditional? Is there something you would love to do during your wedding that doesn't fit into your theme??

Let's talk!

Ok my answer: Something nontraditional that others think is a little wild is my outfit changes. Yes my FH and I are doing outfit changes (plural) during our wedding. I am having one dress made (is gonna be ready this Sunday she said EEPPPPP!!! ) which I'm def wearing for my ceremony. My photo/video people rent dresses so 4 others (1 wedding dress 3 evening gowns) came with my package (which I knew about but I still wanted one of my own that fits perfect). Total of 5 dresses I prob wont use all but I at least plan to wear 3-4. My FH will also have an outfit change too. He has one tux being made and I believe they offer him 2 to rent.

I have two things that I would have loved to do: come in a horse and carriage (cause in my head I'm an Empress) and this may be crazy but I wish I could do henna for my wedding like how they do it in the Indian culture! I love it and how they hide the FH's name in the design (so he can search for it) but I figured some of my family and his might not understand it and I might look a little cray!

Omg this question cracks me up because I've driven FH nuts with a very silly wish.

I love goats and petting zoo animals and would totally love to end up on a lot of property with goats one day. So one drunken evening i cam up with the idea of having a floating petting zoo at our wedding Since bridgeview is right on the water, i joked that we could get a petting zoo and put it on a boat (ya know to keep it separate from the fanciness). Even though i made this elaborate plan as a joke, FH has not even humored my ridiculousness. I think he's scared i would actually research and do it. HAHAHA

I don't really have any thing wild and crazy planned so I just stick to dreaming about my fake petting zoo.

I didn't know they hide the name in the henna, now it's even more awesome.

I guess my something non-traditional is that I'm walking myself down the isle.

then something that doesn't go with my theme is polka dots. I'm in love with black and white polka dots, and wanted black white and pink as my colors. Now I'm doing a fall theme.

I don't think we are really doing anything super non traditional. I guess the only thing is I told FH I refuse to walk around him 7 times during our ceremony because it symbolizes that I belong to him (that's the nice way of putting it), some of the ceremony stuff is just so male dominant it bothers me. Also, my mom and a bunch of her sewing friends are making our chuppah and turning it into our guest book/a quilt for us after the wedding which isn't really done. I'm excited to see it!

There isn't anything that we have that doesn't fit into our theme, since we don't really have one. We are just sticking to purples and greens since those are our favorite colors. If I had the money I would have loved to surprise FH with a band! My friends had this amazing like 12 piece band at their wedding and he wanted them so badly.

2016-er crashing! Love this question! We aren't doing anything non-traditional as of yet.. we are a long ways off lol.. but with regard to theme, I don't want a theme wedding but if I did, it would be Disney. If I had it my way, we'd elope in Disney as a matter of fact! So in order to not be too theme-y I've been searching for ideas of how to subtly include Disney in the day =) So far, I'm in love with Damask toasting flutes with a hidden mickey, hidden mickeys for my bouquet, hidden mickeys in the cake swirls, and maybe a little something in our invites and flowers.. I'll throw it out there to all the vendors and see if they can come up with anything =D

I dont think im doing anything non traditional. I would love to incorporatea a perfperformance that I would do with my bridesmaids or something that the whole bridal party would do as seen in Indian culture. Or maybe have belly dancers at my wwedding. (Which is actually greek and arabic tradition but we dont have the budget for it)
So im hoping my FH sings to me. He has an amazing voice but is shy to sing in public. Hes swearing hes not doing it but he will as a surprise.
