Im doing a flash mob to my FH to david cassidy 'I THINK I LOVE YOU'( he dosn't know.) Were also having a full roast pig( face and all, gross) and a mashed potato bar.
also is anyone having an after party? we rented a bar( the only bar in great neck as a matter of fact)

wow send me an invite to yours! lol

our uniqueness is our processional (still undecided exactly what we are doing), our theme / decorations and our officiant is writing a cermeony specifically for us. we may do 2 bouquet tosses. we are cutting OUT the roast pig from our cocktail hour!

although we are far from traditional, turns out a lot of our wedding will be based on tradition!

Nice! We're also having a finger paint tree - How will you display yours and where? I want guests to notice it

We are also having a photobooth - with instructions in Russian lol

Also having a guy make fresh mozarella in front of guests at cocktail hr & having the flaming march for our first dance (not sure how unique this is) lol

I think our hall itself is VERY unique. We are also having a cigar roller and a flamenco guitarist for cocktail hour.

I ALWAYS feel like I need something more lol

We have a lot of touches that are just 'us.' FH is a Batman FREAK (he was in the dark knight rises as a cop in the big fight scene - his dream come true! lol), so we are coming in to the 1989 batman theme song and our table numbers are different Batman characters.

We are also having a thumbprint tree, bells with a cute poem attached(my family tradition), and a surprise at the end of the bouquet & garter toss :)

We are actually super traditional with our details, but there are some unique extras...

I am putting 2 brooches that my grandmothers gave me on the handle of my bouquet. Since they are both passed away, I thought it would be nice.

I am also an opera singer, so I am having my friend sing all of the music at the ceremony.

Our table numbers will be named after Yankees and will correspond to the jersey numbers because FH is a HUGE die hard Yankee fan.

our tables will be named after places on our college campus where we met. we will be giving out slices of black cake at the end of the night (west indian tradition). still working on more ideas.

we're having a photobooth (maybe not so unique anymore but none of my friends had it at their weddings) tons of 'little touches' I'm big on the personalization and I'm a huge favor freak! We're having like a total of 6 favors I think ...

Hmm, good question. We're having a cigar roller and to go boxes for the viennese and a post-wedding brunch. We're the only ones of our friends (and they're ALL getting married this year) to have a band instead of a DJ. As far as anything completely and uniquely 'us' I can't think of anything....but that could change!

ETA: That flash mob sounds AWESOME! You need to make sure you post a video of that after!!!!!

We have an opera singer singing our first dance and then signing old Italian songs during dinner.
We are also having a more elaborate hospitality hour before the cocktail hour, which will actually be an hour and a half, in order to fill the ceremony reception gap. I also hand painted over 200 champagne glasses wifh 4 coats of gold and glitter paint.
I would like to do some other things too. Just not sure what yet.

There are a ton of fun, 'unique' touches we added to our wedding.... Our cake is going to have the yellow brick road going down the front with little witch legs sticking out of the side. As well as Dorothy & Scarecrow cake tippers I made. We did lots of DIY- table numbers, centerpieces, I spy game, mason jars with striped straws. We are having a photobooth & finger print tree (which will be displayed in the lobby as guests walk in)... Lots of fun stuff!

I can't wait for our wedding. We are having trumpeters and doves at our ceremony space. We also have tons of music going on from piano and violin at hospitality to a flamenco guitarist at CH and then a full 10 piece band. We are also having traditional folk dancing from FH's and mine cultural background. Cigar roller and photobooth for fun. Also, no garter and bouquet toss because we are doing Anniversary dance. Im just so excited! It's once in a lifetime right?

We're doing a finger paint tree, and I let my BMs choose their own dresses. Their colors don't even match! :)
