When did it finally hit you that you were REALLY getting married?
My Answer:
It wasn't buying my dress, or when it arrived, it wasn't even mailing my STD's or selecting my invites....it was when I began picking my CP's of all things. I posted about my anxiety attack and not being able to sleep. It just suddenly Hit Me like a brick! ...OMG I am really getting married and these CP's are for MY reception!
What was yours..or have you even had it yet?

I think I felt like omg I am getting married after my shower. It hit me several times during the planning. You get all caught up in the planning and your so exhausted you don't realize it. Then you get your invites and it feels really, or you buy your rings.

I got the proof of my invitations faxed to me this weekend and seeing our names and our parents names and the date and everything was soo surreal and that was just a black and white piece of paper! When they actually come in i know thats going to be so exciting!

What a sweet question to ask!!
The moment where it really hit us was when we went to book the church my parents were married in! When we were meeting with the priest he spoke about marriage and commitment and we were so touched, I even started crying! FH kept squeezing my hand..
What was funny was when we went in for our meeting with the priest is was gloomy and raining, and when we got out an hour later the sun was coming out.

Thanks girl! My dad passed away 15 years ago, so we wanted a way to honor him in a subtle but poignant manner. We're going to try and re-create one of the pics he took with my mom in 1976. What a tearjerker it will be for all my family and parents friends in attendance..plus my twin brother is walking me down te aisle.

It hasn't fully fully hit me yet...it almost feels like I'm just planning a party, then we're going to go back to our own homes and business as usual. Hasn't really sunk in that after the party, we're on our own, together...and probably homeless lol.
But when our paper invitation proof came in the mail and we were looking it over, it kind of hit us...like wow, this isn't an invitation to someone else's wedding, it's an invitation to OUR wedding. It was kinda freaky.

I don't know that I've truly had that moment yet, but there have been two instances that have choked me up and made me say, 'wow, we're really doing this'... One was a couple of weeks ago when I saw the mock up of our invitation, I was reading it and all of a sudden got a little teary and the other one was yesterday, we met with our priest to go over our FOCCUS results and as the three of us were sitting there talking the priest said that he could tell how in love we are and that he can tell that we are really in it for the long haul, somehow hearing it straight from the priest made it certain and I left there with the best feeling in the world! Sounds silly, but it was like God telling us we'll be together forever.
