*~*~*~*~QOTD 3/14/11*~*~*~*~*~

Hello ladies! I just wanted to introduce myself if you do not know me already! My name is Sarah and mtk1605 has picked me to be your new BOTW! I am so happy she chose me, so a big thank you to her!

<3 as for the qotd, I want to take a trip down memory lane for us all as the week goes on <3:

When and where did you meet FH parents/family, and how did it go!? And vis-versa =)

FH and I were 'seeing' each other for almost three months when I met his parents/family. I already met one of his brothers when we first started hanging out, but I met his mom and little sister at his house a week before Saint Patrick's Day. I was so nervous to meet her for some reason, but she was SO sweet and so welcoming and so nice!! His sister was so adorable - it was so funny because she was friends with the girls that I babysit! I met his dad a few days later because back then he worked nights - he was awesome. He reminded me of James so much. I met his younger brother over the summer because he was away at school. Needless to say, his brothers and sister and I bonded so quickly that we started calling each other sister and brothers when we saw each other haha. <3 them!

FH met my parents on Saint Patricks Day at my house. The first thing my mom said to him was 'So this is the James we've been hearing all good things about!' My dad talked sports with him of course, and they fell in love with him on the spot! I remember James being SO NERVOUS and sweating the whole time LOL I think he met my sister when she was home for a break from school, and my brothers met him like 6 months - a year of us dating bc one lives in PA and the other in Brooklyn. But also, went very well! James was so afraid to meet TWO older brothers, but they were awesome and made him feel so comfortable :)

i think i met FH's parents about a month or 2 into the relationship and i was completely blonde. I was afraid that they were going to judge me for being different but they were totally sweet. FH and I were going out to dinner that night and we sat in their dining room and drank a bottle of wine - i think that helped make it easier.

i really don't remember when FH met my fam but they're pretty laid back so they liked him right away

well I met FHs mom and stepdad on Easter 5 years ago...it was a disaster. FH and I went out with his friends the night before, who are haaaaard partiers, and I ended up drinking too much and was hung over for all of Easter. So hung over that I couldn't even eat the special chicken dish his mom made just for me because she knows I don't like ham.

Luckily, she thought I just wasn't feeling well and didn't figure it out until a year ago when FH let it slip, and she thought it was funny. Thank goodness.

FH met my fam two weeks into dating. My mom thought he was crazy because he has a lot of tattoos, and thought I was nuts for dating him. My dad seemed to like him though. And now we all get along great

We met on October 24, 2008 while working at Disney. After about a month, we decided to take a mini vacation and go visit my parents.

He met my parents around December 7, 2008. They, of course, loved him and his accent. He was the perfect gentleman!


I met his parents May 21, 2009. I went to England for 3 weeks, so it was a bit different. It wasn't a few hour visit. I had to be on my best behavior for 3 weeks! lol But I had so much fun

I met Fhs parents about 2 months into the relationship and they hated me at first...they thought i was stuck up and felt i was too good for there son lol Why he told me this i will never know but after a little while they opened up to me and realized that that wasnt how i was and now they love me


My parents met FH even before we were offically dating beause i was the 'hang out' house so everyone was always there

I met his Mom briefly one night when we met at is house. I met everyone else at a pajama party for his brothers birthday. It was a little hard since much of his family doesn't speak spanish but I had a lot of fun.

He met family when we all went pumpkin picking with my nieces and then we carved a pumpkin together.

I remember telling my mom how cute he was, and when I went to introduce them, he was walking up to her from behind... she turned around and started blushing! LOL she looked back at me and mouthed, 'Jen, he's CUTE!!' LOLOL

I was soooo nervous about meeting his fam b/c they are so close, esp. the girls b/c his he said he really values their opinion on girls he's with...

After I met his niece (she was 13) he asked her what she thought and she said I was so pretty and she loved me... score! (she's one of my BMs)

His mom & sister I met the 1st night we stayed in his (now our) new house. They had gone in earlier in the day and set up a table and chairs and champagne, etc...

I thought it was going to be awkward b/c we had only been dating for 2 months (he'd been living with me since a few weeks after we met though)... but to my surprise they pulled me to the side and said they wanted me to know how happy they were that he had me there to share in such a big moment. They said they'd never seen him so happy and they wished all the best for us! WHEW!!

This is not the best experience in my life...I met FH parets at his brothers wake :( we were dating 4 months. I did have the pleasure of meeting his brother prior to that at a party and I was so nervous i kept knocking y drink over, his brother wet and got me a heavy cup and said it wasnt me it was the cup...so sweet. At the wake his parents were standing at the door and I introduced myself, they told me his brother said i was perfect for his brother.. :( yeah i lost it! Then this was also when he met my mother and his words to her were as he was hugging her...i promise to take care of your daughter...and he has not gone back on his promise...he def takes very good care of me, as do i him :)

At the wake his parents were standing at the door and I introduced myself, they told me his brother said i was perfect for his brother.. :( yeah i lost it!
