I dont think FMIL and I are much alike.

I do think FH and my Dad do have some similarities...like compulsive behavior and the inability to listen : )

complete opposites. FMIL is almost 80 years old and has a very odd sense of fashion..I was relieved she liked the dresses I had picked out for her to wear to the wedding!I get along with her fine but def don't think I'd 'hang out' with her for obvious reasons..

FMIL and I get along to a certain extent...she is very OLD FASHIONED...and has yet to cut the cord

As far as FH AND FFIL they both have tempers

yes they are alike they are both great men who provide for their families and have a nice COLD ONE in the evening!

I am nothing at all like FMIL. She's... not like me.

My dad and FH are both very intelligent, well spoken, all around 'good' people. I'd say they share a lot of the same positive qualities!

I am nothing like my FMIL- She can be a very nasty person at times and says some pretty hurtful things. FH was looking for someone tootal opposite of his mom.
FH and my dad are sort of alike- it takes them both alot to get mad but when they do look out! They are both sports crazy. So kinda alike

I am NOTHING like my FMIL...thank goodness because she is really not a person anyone should try to emulate!!!


Its funny, because FH and I are kind of a switch of my parents...I am like my Dad and he is like my Mom. My mom more than once has said 'You're marrying the male version of me, its crazy!'

Except that FH doesn't over worry the way my mom does...and obviously she still babies me some since I'm the youngest and her only daughter...FH does that sometimes too though.

we are actually alot alike,me and FMIL. we say alot of the same random expressions to, its kinda wierd. i definitely think she can be a litle pushy tho, its not bad, i just ignore it, but i don't think i am like that.

FH and dad certainly have some very similar things going on! but they are also different in alot of ways.

We're a little bit alike. I don't like to admit how much alike, except for one thing. I am no Suzy Homemaker. I hate that. It's 2010- you know where the kitchen is- if you're hungry, COOK! I grew up in a house where my father was home more than my mom. So as soon as my dad would get home, he'd straighten up the place and cook dinner.

FH does NOT come home clean and cook. LOL. But in other ways, he is a LOT like my father, especially how my father was at his age. My mom tells me ALL the time I'm marrying my dad. Hey, I could do worse!

I don't think I'm like my FMIL in any specific way, but we get along great. She's more affectionate with me than her own kids, lol.

FH is the clone of my father. The first time they met, I had to drag FH out of the house cause they would stop talking to each other. Keep in mind my dad doesn't talk to many people other than small talk. I didn't notice as much when we first met, but as the years have gone by, I notice it more and more. He does the exact same things my dad does, and he reacts to things the same way my dad does. It's scary. Like once a month when they pay bills, they get depressed for the day and say we're poor. (neither one of them is poor).
My dad always has to have a specific kind of wallet. I just asked FH if he'd like a new wallet and he tells me it has to be this sepcific kind of wallet. Same as my dad. Spooky. Thank god they are both great guys.
The good thing is, I've had 33 years of dealing with my dad's nuttiness, so I'm a pro when it comes to FH!

The only things FMIL and I have in common is our height. She's OTB and I'm like a typical American kid. She likes to keep the peace in the office (we all work together) and I like the start fires (total troublemaker). She has no opinion about politics and I'm pretty opinionated. I was playing dance music the other day (usually it's rock music, but I like to switch it up sometimes) and she says, 'Oooo such an ugly music.'

FFIL is so weird. We probably have nothing in common. He's like a big weirdo, I can't even explain him.

Very rarely does FH remind me of my Dad, but the odd thing is that one of our very good friends does. Every time I see this guy I get a flash of my Dad. It's kind of cool because my Dad is my best friend and this guy is really freakin' cool about 75% of the time (don't ask about the other 25%).
Anyway, my Dad is awesome and he and FH get along really well which I love.

I don't think I'm anything like my MIL. DH is also adopted, so I wonder if that has anything to do with it..because he mentioned once in the past a few years ago that I had similar qualities in his biological mother, but I never got to meet her...

As for DH and my dad, I think they are sooo similar! They are both such honest, hard-working men. They are both true gentlemen and like to take care of and be around the family. And they both like to pick on me, lol.

FMIL are not alike at all. she's the perfect housewife, cook, etc. Not a t all like me. FH is spoiled enough from her, why would I continue to spoil him. Lol

However, there are aspects of FH and my Dad that are very similar. The most similar would be their humor. They both love to joke around, which is something I love them both very much for
