Since it's technically Sunday i decided to post up the new question .

What is one thing that at first you felt wasn't a necessity but later added because you felt it was something you couldn't not have in your wedding?

At first i felt that i really didn't need a video that it would be a waste of money and that we would never watch it. Once i read that a lot of brides said that the video had captured a lot of events that they didn't even remember, this totally persuaded me to get a videographer.

I think I have the oppossite.... I added extras at the RH and FH and my parents wanted me to take things off... we compromised and changed things. Also I wanted limos and again was talked out of it.

Letterpressed invitations..

We went looking at invites and we decided that since there's so few beautiful things you get mailed to you, why not splurge on invitations?
FH fell in love with letterpress and we found really sophisticated contemporary invites that suit both of our tastes.

We haven't ordered them yet but once we do I will post a pic for you.

Gosh...we have so much extra stuff. There are two things but unfortunately they are secrets from everyone and I don't know who lurks so I can't say..but it's gonna be pretty cool! Can't wait to put it in my review.

At first I really really did NOT want a VH but I was basically told we had to have it...Now I am happy we have it because I can't wait to eat lots of dessert!!!!!

Cocktail napkins LOL. I was pretty dead set against 'frivolous' extras, and wanted to cheap out in areas that I could, such as invitations, table numbers, placecards, napkins...basically all things that either the RH could provide or I knew were going to end up in the garbage. Well, I splurged a little more than originally planned on the invites, and now I'm starting to go extra crazy with napkins and table names and whatnot, and I figure why not, it's only once. I'm even debating a modern bride cardbox, but that's probably where I'll draw the line because its a lot of money for something that can never be used again.

I would have to say Cake Cutter set. I know so little but I was really like eh whatever about it. Then it grew on me and I bought one.

I always knew I would do a ton of DIY projects and I always wanted all the regular stuff like video etc.

-Letterpress invitations (can't imagine anything else now)
-upgrading linens, like the chair covers
-'full' photography package with all the extras

I'd have to say I'm thinking of having the drum player added to our DJ package....we just saw our DJ today at a wedding showcase and the drummer was there.....BUT....not sure how much it costs and if it's 'necessary'...

And of course I saw someone on here discuss chocolate menus...and since I LOVE chocolate I am seriously thinking about adding that for the guests!
