Morning ladies...TGIF!!!

Todays question is...

What has FH made you do or try that you would have never done on your own and/or what is something you made him do or try that he might not have ever done?

Before i met FH i was never on a plane, as a kid my family took us places on long island like montauk or the zoo but we never went away away..so a few months after i met FH he wanted to take me to Disney...now i was terrified of flying not because of heights but because of crashing...he convinced me that nothing will happen to us so we booked the trip and went and he held my hand the whole time and kept me calm..after a few trips to florida over the years i am more comfortable flying ...if not for him i probably would never flown anywhere lol

I think i have made FH more comfortable with opening up to me and expressing how he feels..he tends to always keep things inside.

FH made me snorkle in cozumel (which for the record, i knew I hated previously, but he made me try it again) and sure enough I still hate it, had a panic attack in the water. it was very graceful. I am not a good swimmer and the idea of being near fish grosses me out to no end. needless to say I will never be doing it again & fh wil never let me live it down.

as for what i've made FH do, just like you, he's learned to open up more and talk about how he feels. it took a long time for him but he is so much better at talking things out now.

I had never flown either before FH! And my first (and only) time on a plane was when he took me to Disney! I was crying before takeoff because I was convinced we were going to die. I'm less afraid of crashing and more afraid of hijacking (consequences of having never flown prior to 9/11, I guess). That was a few years ago so now I'm afraid to fly all over again, LOL. On a less extreme note, he's taken me skiing, something I'd never really cared to do before.

FH wasn't a huge fan of U2 before he met me (and still isn't), but I 'made' him take me to their concert in 2005 and he loved them live. By 'made,' he was really quite happy to go with me, it's just that he probably never would have gone to see them in concert (twice) were it not for me.

Fh convinced me to jump off a cliff into lake George. When I was a lot younger and I had my brothers and cousins ragging on me I might have done it but I've become a scaredy cat in my old age. Anyway around our one year mark together we went up to lake George and I jumped off a cliff. It was actually fun.

I'm turning Fh into a baseball fan. He occasionally went to games before we met but now we go to about 5 a year and always tailgate before the game.

That's awesome! But there's something about the fact that your FH convinced you to jump off a cliff that has me cracking up!

I'm jumping on the bandwagon with the planes! I've never been on a plane before FH. I did local vacations with my family when I was younger. When my family did take us to Disney, we drove! My FSIL lives in Arizona, so FH and I took a trip to introduce me to her a few years ago. We spent a few days there and then rented a car and drove to San Diego & Las Vegas. Awesome vacation, but I came back more tired than when I left!

As for me, I got FH into sushi and eating fish in general. He's a meat and potatoes kind of guy and sushi always grossed him out. I love it, so I kept eating it in front of him. Eventually I got him a california roll (which I feel is everyone's 'starter roll' lol) and kept giving him on piece from every roll I eat. Now he orders it on his own

I made FH swim with sharks in Jamaica, which was at the top of my bucket list, and he loved it!

He made me try seafood (which I'm still totally against), I tried shrimp and calamari and will never eat any seafood again. Not my thing!

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who hates flying!

FH got me to try beer! I always hated beer....like HATED it. Someone gave us tickets to one of those boxes at a Knicks game and they were serving beer and buffalo wings. I tried it, and it was like a flavor explosion! Beer and wings are besties. Now I don't drink beer often (maybe 3 times a year), but when I see hot wings I want a Corona lol.

I got FH into concerts/festivals. Two years ago I brought him to Coachella in California and it was his first time at a festival. We partied hard for 3 days in the desert and it was awesome. I'm so bummed I'm not there right now. Wah! We had tix and sold them to add to the wedding fund. Oh the joys of getting married!!!

fh got me to watch and learn about some of his 'geek' favorites. He loves the avengers, and superheros, dr.who. Before him I never really gave those types of movies and shows a chance. Now I actually like them. He refers to it as 'a geek in training' lol.

I made fh fly for the first time for our 1 yr I really wanted to go to Disney. So I don't love flying but I do it cause I love to travel. He is glad I made him. They always drove as kids and he realized how fast we can be at Disney flying he was like 'this is great'. I also took him out of his comfort zone with food. I am a vegetarian so I love all veggies. My fh his idea of veggies was basics broccoli carrot and corn. He never had zucchini, eggplant, artichokes, a stuffed pepper until he met me. He now loves almost all veggies.

Hmmmm that's a great question!

Literally the only thing I can think of FH getting me into is guacamole how weird is that?! I mean I absolutely love guac now but there has to be something else.... he's tried getting me into cruising but I don't like it. I guess I'm sorta more into exercising now since he's really into it. I'll have to think more on this.

I got FH into the theatre and concerts. I love going to shows as often as I can and before we started dating he'd never been to a broadway show so I just had to take him. Now we go as often as we can! And he get really excited and into it so its adorable lol it's just such a nice way to spend the day (we usually go to matinees since its cheaper)

Good question!

FH is reaaaally into fish - you name it, he loves it. I'm only really a fan of whitefish and absolutely no shell fish. It has been his mission to expose me to the various and kinds and try to get me to also fall in love with then. Unfortunately it didn't work BUT i'm glad he made me try!

I got FH into chocolate! He used to HATE it and now actually loves white chocolate (i know, i know.. it's not real chocolate but it's close enough!)

FH got me into his 'nerdy' stuff. Marvel movies, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit, he has yet to convert me to Star Wars but I do feel like it definitely might happen hahaha!

I got him into COUNTRY music! He now loves it. I love that he is into it because now we get to enjoy concerts together! I also got FH into eating spinach! He is generally good with vegetables but he was opposed to spinach and now he loves it

FH made me shoot a gun! It was a BB gun but still, it was very cool.

I got him to go to Korea with me to visit my family even though he had never been on a plane before. I don't know how I convinced him to get on a plane for 14 straight hours with me but somehow I did. We had a great time!

FH got me to do the 40 mile bike tour (the 5 borough bike tour :) ) AND got me to sign up and do it again this year!! He also got me into reddit and I went to comic con for the first time ever this year!

I sort of got FH into like... sitcoms and certain reality shows. I also have broadened his horizons with foods (I cook A LOT of different things!) and protein shakes and also no TV in the bedroom.

I actually had to ask him what I got him into because I think he has a better influence on me than I do on him :)
