Happy April Fools day! and hope all of you get to enjoy some part of this bipolar weather we are having.Today is FH birthday so I'am cooking him one of his many favorites besides pizza. I wanted to take him to this couples cooking class that shows you how to make everything about pizza from scratch but neither of us has the time to go so we are saving it for next year!
my question today is about cooking! I love to cook especially everything from scratch! it just comes out so much better then making it out of a box/can/bag.... and i feel like it's a tad healthier too because you can use your own substitutions for certain ingredients. FH cooks too but not as much as me and his tends to always end up.....well terrible lol
So who is the little chef in your relationship? is it any good? do you enjoy cooking or him/her cooking for you? what is your favorite meal to cook or what does your significant other enjoy?

FH and I both love to cook! I do most of the cooking due to work schedules. I'm a teacher so I'm home by 3:30 the latest so I have more time to prepare dinner. If we waited for him to get home and start cooking, we wouldn't be eating until close to 9 every night. FH does take over the cooking duties on the weekends though, especially breakfast. I have woken up to many breakfasts in bed since he gets up earlier than I do.

FH is the chef between the two of us. I can't even make tuna. Literally. Good news for FH is that pretty much all my diet consists of is Kraft mac & cheese and chicken nuggets lol. He tries to make other things I like, but he's not the best chef in the world lol. I never say that to him though.. DON'T BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU!

I love to cook and especially bake! However, I HATE HATE HATE cleaning up after I've made a mess in the kitchen...dishes sit in my sink and dishwasher for way too long!
I am ALWAYS trying new recipes. It makes me so happy to try new foods and they taste even better to me after all of my hard work! I just made homemade spinach and ricotta gnocchi this morning so I can cook them quickly when I get home tonight. Had a few for lunch and they were pretty good!
FH will sometimes help when he's around, but I usually like to keep him out of the kitchen when I'm cooking. We have very similar tastes in food, and we both love to eat! He always says how lucky he is that he has me to make him yummy food. :)
FH does make better eggs than I do, so he makes breakfast more often than I do. And when he does help out with dinner he makes his specialty appetizer: caprese salad! haha

FH is definitely the chef in the r/ship. I love to cook and bake, but I typically need a recipe to guide me. FH just takes whatever is in the fridge and whips something tasty up! He also works from home so he has the time and the patience to cook. I am exhausted after the commute home I dont want to do anything.... FYI I do not like the new layout of LIWeddings... is this an April Fools Joke?

I am definitely the chef in our relationship. My FH makes me a sandwich but sometimes he will leave out an ingredient (such as forget the mayo or forget to cut the sandwich in half) I personally feel he does it on purpose to get out of making it. Lol But I enjoy cooking and am so happy that he has opened his palate and is willing to try new things. When we first started dating he would not want to try anything. The fact he eats vegetables truly shows how much he loves me. Lol

I am definitely the cook in the relationship although there are times when I just don't feel like it and he will make something easy. I like cooking and I think I am good at it. I can honestly say that he has never once complained about my cooking. Way to a man's heart through his stomach LOL

I'm sad to say neither of us are big cooks right now. It should be interesting when we live together. We have talked about taking some cooking classes since we can learn and it will be something fun to do together. Does anyone know of any good places?
