QOTD 4/18/13

Today's question is...

Do you get along with you in-laws? How have they been with the wedding planning?

I get along we'll with all of the in-laws. FH's parents are divorced and his dad is remarried. I get along with his step mom and her family as well. The only issue I have is his mom always trying to get me to tell her I hate the step mom. She is constantly looking for reassurance that we like her better!! As for the wedding they have been pretty good. I just have to separate FMIL and FSMIL and figure out a way to incorporate them both without upsetting FMIL.

Fortunately, yes! His mom loves me. His dad was very sick when we started dating and passed away last year. So I never got to know him well but he liked me as well. He knew we were getting married and gave us his blessing. FH has 3 sisters, 2 of which I really know, and a brother and I get along great with them. I really lucked out, thank God!! His family isn't involved in the wedding.

My FMIL is ok. She can be overbearing with things because I think she likes to be the center of attention. My FFIL is fine, although not too involved in the planning process.
