QOTD: Who are your favorite characters from either a movie or tv show do get married? Did you learn anything from there wedding or did it make you causes for things that may happen at your own wedding.
Answer : Friends - Chandler and Monica's wedding was my favorite. Even the planing part i loved with the wedding scenarios bc i was the same way. But I learned that you need to make sure yours and FH's shoes are worn in enough so they arnt to slippery to dance!
I have to agree with Monica and Chandler. I love the episode where they finalize use their wedding china and it winds up broken on the floor!

Their wedding is a reminder of what's important that day - and it's not the wedding decor, or the flowers, or the dress, or the fact that your mother is sleeping with your boss ( ) - it's that you are marrying your best friend and nothing else in the world matters more.
Jesse & Rebecca from 'Full House'. Beautiful wedding and I just love that song 'Forever'.

Sex and the City Movie! Although I am not a Big fan, there was a good lesson in the end. Don't get carried away with the wedding planning and forget what the two of you wanted in the beginning. Just to be together!
Side note. I can't believe he stood her up.

oh! Thought of another one. My Big Fat Greek Wedding! LOVE this movie and I can relate to it being that I'm korean and FH is portuguese. My parents were really insistent that I marry korean while I was growing up.
They have since come around and I am sooo greatful that they love FH!

I dont have one I dont think. I love movies w weddings in them...father of the bride, my best friend's wedding, WEDDING CRASHERS!
but for some reason, Steel magnoilias always pops into my head.

i totally agree! the part when Big is sitting in the car saying 'look at me, please just look at me' - i'm going to be paranoid about that on my wedding day now- like i'm going to have to look at dru to make him feel ok haha

UMM my banquet manager calls me the Steel Magnolia bride - b/c when I told her my colors were blush and mauve, that's what popped into her head LOL

Ok - I guess this could be kinda messed up b/c we all know what happens in these movies but I'm going w/ the Godfather wedding!
Aside from all the mafia action - the wedding itself (for its time) was HUGE. In the backyard of their family home. And yea we know what happens to the marriage later on, but in that moment they seemed SOOOO in love and the family was really happy for them!
