Yey it's finally the weekend - I've been looking forward to tonight all week long :)
Are you planning on doing anything special with your dress after your wedding?
Although it might not be as sentimental as preserving it, I was thinking of either doing a trash the dress photo-shoot like on our 1 year anniversary or donating it. I would also love to do a bride-only photo shoot of me and my 2 really good friends after our weddings, with all of us in our wedding gown. This would come before the trashing of the dress lol

I am for sure trashing the dress!!
But before that I will be cutting off a big portion to make christening gowns for my kids!
I want to frame it like adrienne maloof. But I have NO IDEA where I'd put it.
I may turn it into a quilt or something for my kids. I'd do the christening gown idea but we're not planning on doing that for our kids.

I want to do a Lace Dress so I would try to save some to use on Christening Gowns or some other family heirloom (a Handkerchief maybe too!)

I always thought a trash the dress would be fun and I also considered donating it but I'm going to save it for possibly my daughter lol not that I would expect her to love it the same but if I have a daughter one day it might be nice to have around! you never know :)

I wanted to frame mine too, in a huge shadow box, but unless I have a huge walkin closet to put it in, it would just be wasted space. I have 3 best friends, and one of them just recently told me that she wants to do a trash the dress shoot with all 4 of us after the last one gets married. I'm really excited for this idea, but unfortunately, one of the friends is a LONG way off from getting married. I guess we'll see if it still fits me then!! Lol

I'm going to preserve it for my daughter if I end up having one. Maybe the show 'Something New, Something Borrowed' will still be on then and she can go on it! hahaha

Maybe after my wedding, we get get part of the dress cut out for future babies and me, you, and Meghan can do a trash the dress together :)
