QOTD 4/30/11

Happy Saturday! Congrats to all out girls who have/ are getting married.

The royal wedding had so many traditions and rules of etiquette that had to be followed I felt bad because they didn't look they we able to enjoy the moment. When it comes to your wedding how much has tradition influenced? Did you follow some not other, completely stray, pick and choice?

We picked and choose what we wanted. I refused to wear an all white or off white dress and wanted a lot of color that was actually part of the dress ie my blue train, fh also picked my veil with me and went with me when I tried on dresses but he still didn't want to see me in it but does know what it looks like and the list goes on

we ar not doing bok or garter toss, NOOOOO chicken dance, electric slide, group dance BS,

I WILL do parent dances, i wont see him before the ceremony,

oh yeah and we WILLL Consumate the marriage on our wedding night

I'm a more modern girl but we are following some traditions. FH's family all got married at St. Kevin's in Bayside so we're getting married there, even though I wanted to get married on the beach! However, we are only having a ceremony - not a full mass.

We will be doing the bouquet/garter toss, mother/son father/daughter dance, I won't see FH before I walk down the aisle and he hasn't seen my dress, I'll have something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

We are keeping the ceremony quite traditional. Which means that I will be seeing him before I walk down the aisle.I'll be wearing a a veil - we'll be doing a garter toss. I think I'm more a traditional bride...

Well the surprise wedding threw tradition right out the window!!

But we did parent dances and cake cutting....

We're doing the bouquet/garter tosses. We're doing the Hora at the reception. Right now, we're not doing parent dances. We will see each other, for photos, prior to the ceremony (getting married at the RH doesn't leave us much choice). I wish our first contact that day would be once I walk down the aisle. I'm a little sad that it won't.

I break all traditions inhaving children before marriage and actually getting married before my wedding day but He hasnnt seen my dress and we are sooo doing the bok toss.
