* QOTD 4/9/08*

Happy Humpday Ladies,

We're almost more than 1/2 way through the week. Hope all are having a great one

Work calls again today so will be off LIW for almost the whole day and may not be home till late so here's to some good chit chat today and hope to catch up later

Ok so here it is:

If you could travel back to any time period, be it 200 years ago, a thousand years ago, 50 years or ago or even a few few years ago or your childhood- where would you travel too and if possible and you wanted to who would you go back as?

I think I would travel back to Ancient Egypt and might want to be Cleopatra. Looks like it would be an itneresting time to live- see the pyraimids built and also lay around and be deemed beautiful by serveral men, fed grapes and fanned with a papyrus leaf- can't beat that lol lol lol lol

I might also travel back to my days as a youngster between 4-10 yrs old- things were so easy back then. I had no porblems, no worries- all I did was play with my care bears and cabbage patch dolls

I love this question!! I have thought about this before actually... and I have always said that there are 2 specific times that I would love to live in...
1. The Studio 54 era... I am obsessed with all history relating to STudio 54 and it peeks my interest like you cannot imagine...so I would love to have been born maybe 1960 so that around 18I would be going to 54

2. I also love Shirley Temple.. so to live when she was in her peek ....maybe be her friend lol

I would love to go back to two eras ...

1. The first one would be the 1920's. I would love to go back during the prohibition and be a flapper girl.

2. The second would have to be one of the one's Jen mentioned. I would love to go back to the Studio 54 era.

Me too! Me too! I think about this all of the time. I was not born for this generation - every time I deal with problems with parents and students I wish I was born earlier so that I lived in a time more in line with my beliefs/ideals. I also love saddle shoes, swing dancing, and poodle skirts! So that doesn't hurt either.

i'd like to go back to the 30's/40's. i kind of want to know my grandmother when she was young. she's so amazing; i want to know more about her younger years and how she became who she is.

I would love the jazz era. It amazed me how everyone dress so nice back then. The women wore dresses with hat and gloves. They looked so classy.

Simple, I would go back 25 - 30 years ago so that I could spend time with my father who passed away when I was 2 yrs old.

every since i watched Peggy Sue Got Married, I would want to go back in time to the 50's. I love their clothes, close family times, music, etc. Also, one of my favorite restaurants is Johnny Rockets. lol.

Great question!!

I would travel back around the late 60's. I LOVE the woodstock era and would have loved to experienced the live music (Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin...)

I would most certainly go back to the 50's and live in Cuba before Castro came in. My Grandma told me all about it and I would love to witness the beauty and culture of Cuba then.

I think I would go back to the 1960s. Great music! And a great time for being young, experimenting with stuff and getting your voice heard.

I also really like the late 1700s and 1800s. The imperial grandeur and decadence of royal countries like France is so visually spectacular. It would be fun to be rich and live like a glutton and be surrounding by a lot of beautiful architecture and clothes.

I would probably just go back to when i was a kid. about 5 yrs old. i remember just having fun and not having a care in the world! i would so love that peace of mind right now. lol

This is definitely a time where I would want to live, it's just something about the 50's that always grabs my attention.

I would also like to go back to see how those pyramids in Mexico and Egypt were built, did they have some sort of technology that we never knew about?
