QOTD 5/17

Hi Ladies!!!

So my Days as BOTW ends today.....sadly I hope i did well!!!

So my last QOTD:

Who is in charge of the money/bank accounts/bills etc in your relationship? and does the other have regular availability to that?

I am in charge of the Money for our joint accounts, as well as bills etc..... im extremely organized, hes the neatfreak so moneyfalls into my jurisdiction! hahaha.

We have a joint account, I took on the responsibility of paying the bills.

we dont have a joint account yet but we are going to open one soon.

we both pay different bills but we def get in arguments about it because obv the amounts are never the same so we get into fights about who paid more and it can get ugly

FH pays almost all of the bills - we've been saving all of my checks as the wedding fund.

Right now everything is separate but our joint... I would venture to guess I will be the one in charge when we merge our lives since I handle our joint.

we basically are just in charge of our own stuff. we're not really doing the joint thing because we don't think it's necessary...besides neither of us has enough time or extra money to opened up a second account! however, we split the bills. we started out as house-mates so it's all pretty even-steven. we'll probably do something different in the future, but for now...we're just keeping it simple :o)

We don't have joint accounts yet, but when we do, I most certainly will be in charge, spreadsheets and all lol.

We have our finances kept entirely separate right now. But from what we've discussed, in the future, it looks like he will be paying for the household bills: the rent, the maintenance, electric, etc. I will be buying the groceries and clothes. (which will add up... I know it will lol). I'll also probably pay for some of the splurges we do as a couple, but he usually pays when we go out to dinner.

I don't know yet if this will change once we're married. I guess it's hard to tell since we don't live together yet.

Great QOTD!! Good thing to think about and it's interesting to see how other people handle this!

i am pretty much in charge lol, we both obv have acccess to our money but i take care of all the bill paying

I pay most of the bills but we have been doing it from separate accounts which has been a total PITA.. We have just been too lazy to go to the bank and open up a new one for the past 2 years!

We are actually going to the bank today to open up joint accounts to deposit our wedding money so hopefully it will be a lot easier to pay bills now!

FH handles the $$ in our joint account - and I will continue to let him do it. I like not having to deal with it. We also have our own separate accounts that we each take care of.

I have full access to the joint account.
