I'm yet to find good italian cookies on long island. I always go into Little Italy for them, but thats a bit of a commute for a cookie.

Our favorite place just closed so now we go to Catania Bakery in Queens. But nothing beats Seviroli's that used to be in Cityline. . .
How hard is it to make GOOD cannoli cream!!!! It is so frustrating, it is ricotta and sugar - stop messing it up people!

Anyway if I HAVE to pick two I would say Pignolis and rainbow cookies!

we went there too - to Catania. Growing up we'd go to Grimaldi's, but I think that's gone. My dad ALWAYS used to go to Circo's in Queens... not sure if it's still there but i think it is b/c he drives there every year to get like 10 of the marzipan lambs for Easter (which I hate, and he tells me I'm crazy).

You are crazy!!!! Marzipan is the b-o-m-b.

my favorite cookies are the butter cookies filled with the dark (strawberry or raspberry NOT orange) jam, dipped on one end in chocolate and sprinkles. Also love rainbow cookies and sesame cookies and most cookies from Veniero's.

not a big cake fan; i like cupcakes and love molten chocolate cake but most bakeries don't have that. may cheesecake with strawberries or carrot cake with the cream cheese icing.

omg I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Veniero's!!!! I see you're not a cake fan but have you ever had their Almond Torte. It's the greatest cake on earth.

no but i might have to try that. I love nutty desserts. it's the really creamy stuff I'm not crazy about... and I never love the cake part b/c it's never that soft; always tastes stale.

i cant just pick two

i like anything with rasberry jam and anything with napolean/cream puff cream in it...so rainbow cookies and then cream puffs (i would say napoleans but i dont like the top icing layer).

We used to go to Seriroli's all the time! I was sad to see it was no longer in Cityline.

Now we stick to going to Greenwood Bakery on 111th and Liberty. My boss who used to live in Ozone Park swears by Oxford Bakery.

Where is Catania?

Oxford is a good bakery BUT it doesnt have that ITALIAN taste to it. . . its just a good American bakery ( to me ) they have great cakes.

Catania is on Fresh Pond Road!

I used to LOVE Sevirolis because when my dad went in there the guy would give me a little ice for free!!

I'm not so into cakes, I'm a pie girl! Key lime, pecan & pumpkin (seasonally or course). Cookies, I like just the basic oatmeal or chocolate chip. Oh and I like those pink and green leaf cookies with the chocolate in the middle.

My favorite is a strawberry individual dessert from Sweet Karma. It is in the shape of a teardrop with a chocolate bottom and a strawberry mousse (I think)

My second is my birthday cake every year. My mother makes yellow cake with milk chocolate icing. Yum!!

How about ALL of them! I am a dessert freak!

Ok I will have to go with:

Rainbow Cookies
Cheescake

(that was hard though because I love so many things)
