QOTD ****

Okay I have to run out to do an all day training do won't be on until later. . but here is the QOTD

If you had written (or did write) a list of things you wanted in a husband which of FH's characteristics would be on there?
Which are not on there? What is on there that you never thought of but are glad are? and discuss. .

Ones he has:
Kind
thoughtful
ambitious
hard working
loving
playful
friendly
personable
fun

Ones he doesn't have:
vocal - ability to stand up for himself
social

Ones he has but I didn't know I would want:
handy
talented


I am sure there is more but its to early for adjectives.

Kind, trustworthy, caring, compassionate, hilarious, intelligent, committed, loves his family, can deal with me when I'm stressed, wants children, and loves me for who I am and not what he wants me to be. These are things that were non-negotiable in my book, and FH is all of these things and so much more

One thing on my list that FH is not is musical. Music has been a huge part of my life, I play numerous instruments and I have always performed and taught others and FH does not have a musical bone in his body. He appreciates music but is pretty much tone deaf. He says he played a good sax in high school but I don't think I believe him But I forgive him ... think I'll keep him anyway

FH is so kind and sweet and I'm sure those were all on my mental list. He is very, very intelligent which is important to me otherwise I think I'd get bored if someone wasn't stimulating to me mentally all the time, if someone didn't make me think and learn. Also he's got a great sense of humor, he's not so much funny but he does funny (kinda dopey) things and my friends come over and laugh until they cry.

I never cared about finding someone who was so handy and did carpentry, woodworking and electrical work as a hobby but it certainly comes in handy when you want a shelf here or a bench or a table or a pantry (or 2 more bedrooms out of an attic lol) so that's nice. I love how musical he is because I'm always the musician and instruments I never touched I've now learned so much about. My mom is still shocked that I learned some trumpet and tuba and can't even say euphonium! Because I always played different instruments (flute, percussion, piano, guitar, cello, sax.) Another thing about Dan is he is SO generous. It works out ok because I have a complex and I never ask for anything but he's so good to me. He really does try to treat me like a princess because he feels like I'm special but I just don't let him is all. Ok, ok occasionally I let him says the new car in the driveway that was an engagement gift and the 4 carat ring set.

I WISH he would be more vocal, stop being mr nice guy and letting everyone walk on him and say no sometimes. Also, I wish he'd stop being so messy and I wish his memory was better, it's awful!

He has the same sick humor as me, which was absolutely necessary, because I'm a very black and white person...you either get me, or you very much don't, so it's absolutely necessary that he gets me in that way. He's protective, and smart.

The traits that definitely wouldn't be on my list, but it looks like I'm stuck with lol, is procrastination, propensity to wax poetically and muse about all the things that he coulda, shoulda, woulda done (but doesn't do anything about), passive/agressive head games, arrogance and ego, paranoia, fussy, indecisive. Yeesh what am I getting in to.

Trait that I never though I would have cared about...flair for culinary arts!
