So sorry I never got on here yesterday so I'll ask now.

Those of you getting married at the reception hall, are you doing any fun rituals such as a sand ceremony or candle lighting ceremony, etc.? If at the church, what ceremonial things are you doing?

We're having the unity candle and a reading from the bible.

We had my DH do a vow to my two daughters - something like - now as I marry your mother, you become my family. It was perfect.

We're getting married at a non-denominational second location, and as an interfaith couple we are trying to incorporate as many of our individual traditions as possible. FMIL is walking FH down the aisle (jewish), both MOB and FOB are walking me (jewish), we're doing readings (catholic), and a sand ceremony (catholic), and we are breaking a glass (jewish). If we could think of anymore, we would have done those too!

I want to do something, but I am not sure what. The candle thing, i've heard, doesn't work so well outside by the water. Maybe sand? Is that cheesy?
