I hope all you ladies had a good weekend and for those of us that have a case of the Mondays I hope today goes by quickly!!
When you first got engaged how did you feel? Did you feel 'brand new' or like you had 'just fallen in love all over again'?
I felt like a new woman! I wanted to cook and clean and look sexy and be cute whenever I could.. I think getting engaged actually sparked our relationship up! I still feel that way and I think I felt confident in taking over the role as a fiance and soon-to-be wife! I know when people get married there is the 'honeymoon phase' and I am not sure, but I may be the first to coin the term 'fiance phase' :)

I felt exactly like you- the 'fiance phase'! It was all lovey-dovey all the time - it was great. Things that used to bother me didn't because I knew at the end of the day he picked me and that put me even higher on cloud 9! I felt brand new and fell in love all over again. Oohhh the fiance phase<3

Honestly, we had been talking about it for a few months, and I knew it was coming. I always thought I'd be in the newly engaged phase as well, but once we did get engaged, nothing changed. Things are still like they were, and it constantly surprises me.

Lol I sooo wanted to be 'super fiance' right after we got engaged. That lasted about a week, and then I was like 'pick your damn underwear off the floor!!!' lol
He actually made a comment like, 'oh all I have to do to get homemade dinner every night is buy you jewelery?' I told him only diamonds qualify haha. I still cook and clean of course, but he has to pitch in.
Our love only grew, it didn't change how I feel about him that much, except now I just can't wait to be his Wife!

I totally felt like I fell in love all over again! We got engaged on a cruise and after he proposed, we went down to get food, and I was all giddy bumping into people lol thankfully he popped the question before we left port, because I wanted to tell everyone!
It has been a month since we got engaged and I still feel like same way! Can't wait to call him my husband!

I definitely felt like someone new, I felt like I went from a girl to a woman, because I was no longer the GIRLfriend, I was the fiance, the wife to be. I was really excited.

When we got engaged it was right on the heels of finding out my grandmother and aunt had cancer so I kinda put my feelings on the backburner. And now almost 6 months later I don't feel any differently.

I definitely felt that way as well. I remember Valentines day 2 weeks after we got engaged, FH did not buy me flowers. I was pouting. He goes, 'you have a ring now, aren't I off the hook for a little?' lol. But really when i look down at my hand I am reminded that he picked me, and he chose this piece of jewelry to show me how much I mean to him. Love him!

I think our relationship matured to a whole different level. We were even more comfortable than we were before, definitely more secure, which I didn't even know was possible. I was so happy just being with him, I didn't even know I could be happier, but everything has been even more amazing than it was before. Everything is heightened!

I seriously felt like I was in love all over again. It made both of us really close and happy to know we were eachothers soulmates. You get over it though lol.

I was insanely happy - and I still am! We were also on a cruise, in the middle of Alaska--all I wanted to do was call everyone! It was even better because he was so excited to start planning once we got home! I was on cloud 9 for about 1 month with everyone being so happy for us. Now, I just want to get this wedding here already!!

I feel the exact same way. And there wasn't a true proposal. He texted me one day saying that we needed to make a decision about getting married, and I think we just kind of did it. A la Carrie and Big in SATC movie. And I really haven't felt that different. I knew I was going to be with him for the rest of my life, ring or no ring. I think it'll finally hit me when I walk down the aisle. All of a sudden I'll be married again.
I was married before, and I kind of played house the first few years. Mind you I was 21 when we did this, and I was pregnant. This time it's of my choosing, and I'm being much smarter about it.

We got engaged on our 9th anniversary. I didn't feel 'brand new,' but I was definitely on a fiancé high for about a week. I wanted him to feel as elated as I did, so I did every crazy thing I could think of short of skydiving while we were in TX--even got matching tattoos of the state's outline lol. Then we came home from vacation and were just 'us' again...and it was perfect.

More than 6 months later... I'm still in this 'fiance' phase. The ladies pick on me at work because I will talk about 'my fiance... Tom' to my patients at work as much as I can. He is seriously the best in the world and he's all mine! So I'm still in the fiance phase. I'll still like stare at my ring when I'm driving or while I'm on hold at work. I still get all doe-eyed when I'm driving in the car with him and he's just like... all air guitaring and steering wheel drumming... and i just love him so much.
