Re: QOTD 6/28
I don't use my credit cards, so they're not carrying a balance. I have a habit of not using GCs a lot, but I have certainly been using them now!!!
FH and I stay in a lot more -- I direct deposit into my checking acct and then it's scheduled for a monthly transfer into the wedding acct.
FH gives me about 1/4-1/2 his paycheck every two weeks, that also goes into the wedding fund. He's resposible for the next RH desposit, then there's no other deposit til 2009. (One perk of being a 2010 girl deposits are much further apart).

Re: QOTD 6/28
We split entrees and see matinee movies
There isn't much cutting back to do since our major expenses are fixed, like the monthly car and insurance payments...
Oh and I save all of my change(mostly quarters) lol, I have a huge pink jug in my dorm called the Wedding dress fund, I have about 90 dollars already

Re: QOTD 6/28
i stopped getting coffee's at starbucks (except for free coffee wendsday's...its free!!) I recylce my bottles and can's (the last time I went I got almost 15 dollars off of my grocery bill....and even if its 2 or three dollars off its better than nothing...) I keep all my change and cash it at commerce when there is alot around We stopped going out to dinner and movies We shop more in BJ's now for things we use all the time (you dont think its that much of a savings but it is!!)
FH made a slight money accident yesterday and he has officially given me full permission to take over ALL financial things for us.

\ We shop at BJ's as well, the savings is unbelievable and you surpass the 50 dollar annual fee really quickly. The only thing is that we cannot take advantage of their meats and stuff since it's only the two of us, perishable things will go to waste since they are often family packs.

Re: QOTD 6/28
We are doing more shopping at Costco, limiting our dinners out, cooking at home more, getting what is on sale or what i have coupons for at the grocery store rather than specific brands (other than bread and milk)
Less going to movies, no going to D&B

We buy the meats too...what i do when I get it is spilt it up into smaller portions and freeze what we wont eat within a day or two. I buy the Lean cuisine meals to eat during work and if you base it off of supermarket prices its buy two get two free....the price is really worth it. If there is something you really eat alot (like yogurt or the salad packs) you pretty much are able to finish it right before the sell by date.
I also get my gas for the car there. Yea you wait on line for 5-10 minutes (and waste a bit of gas idling...) but the difference in price is almost 10-12 cents cheaper per gallon...instead of costing me $56 to fill my tank it costs $52...

Re: QOTD 6/28
i'm paying off my credit card (the last of them) this month, so that way i wont be carrying around debt (besides my dumb student loan). FH and i are currently trying to find a place together, since now i wont have a 400+ bill for my credit card anymore.

Re: QOTD 6/28
-Try to take my food to work more often.
-We try to eat at home more often but this is rough because i go to his house on the weekends and food is scarce over there! We often find ourselves reaching for the nearest menu.
-I was doing really good with my CC, but the month of june killed me with so many b'days, graduation parties, father's day, and I needed a whole new summer wardrobe for work because my job is extra strict on dress code. Annnd not to mention I don't qualify for financial aid and my bill is due next week...
(ok i turned my answer into a counseling session. sorry girls, it's just been a really longgg week and i am stressed)

Re: QOTD 6/28
I started to post, then the internet at Hofstra disconnected
We are shopping at Costco more, eating at home more often and getting stuff on sale and with coupons as opposed to name brand stuff. walmart is our friend, as is the Entemanns outlet on Jericho Turnpike (FYI WW girls, they have WW breads on half off).
Not going out as much, not many movies unless we can use a coupon, or we go to a friends and watch a movie there instead of the theatre.
