~QOTD~

Hello ladies! Sorry my QOTD is a bit late but I've been caught up at work. Here goes...

How different is your wedding going to be than you envisioned it, let's say, 5 years ago?

Mine is totally going to be different because I wanted a destination wedding 5 years ago!! I didn't want to deal w/ all the big planning and wanted to keep it simple. Things have changed though!

I never really dreamed about my wedding day, though I did used to tell my mom that I was just going to run off to Vegas to get married.

well i probably thought that i would be brought in on a horse and carriage which is definitely not happening

Its different but only because I had like 10 different visions for my wedding day...sometimes I wanted it on the beach, sometimes at night, sometimes during the day, sometimes I wanted a big dress, sometimes a small one, sometimes a flowy one....

The only thing that stuck was that I knew I wanted it by the water.

so funny, I also wanted a small, casual G2G type of thing. I was never into these kinda stuff, but the moment we got engaged all of a sudden I do want it ALL!
so from a small vision this coming out to be a big thing.
all the little details are the same, tho

I had always wanted an afternoon wedding- I am actually having an evening wedding
I had a very specific wedding gown in mind- mine now isn't remotely close to that
I never wanted to get married in church-but now because I know it's SO important to FH, we are (hopefully!!)

I think those are the only differences between now and years ago

I always thought I wanted the whole princess fairy-tale thing.. .wedding at a castle, wear a tiara... the WHOLE 9...

NOPE!! Nothing like it.... now it's all hip, and trendy, and fun, with a cool chic vibe.... I want a romantic traditional ceremony and a Freaking PARTY! after!! Woo-Hoo!!!

I always said i didnt want to get married and if i did it would be small. I think at some point i said if i do get married i want to go to an island somwhere. Now I am having a big wedding here!!!

Same here Except change that 5 to a 3, lol...
My Fiance and I were having a destination wedding until we picked up and moved 1600 miles. So technically I guess it is still a destination wedding for us,hahaaa

But 5 years ago i was in a 9 year relationship, totally different guy, High School Sweetheart.... And as you can see that didn't happen, lol.

Actually earlier this yr i was planning a destination wedding for this Oct 17th 09 in Mexico, we booked flights and everything but once the Swine Flu outbreak happened, FH and i changed our mind and alot of my family wanted me to have a wedding here so they could attend etc....

5 yrs ago i envisioned having a small but traditional wedding, boy has that changed lol

well i always wanted a cinderella fairytale wedding which is what i am doing but always thought it would be around christmas time, now i am having a summer wedding

I'm basically in the same boat as Kris, I honestly never thought about a wedding b/f. I even really ques the idea of getting married until I met FH.
