Hello Brides,

Surprises can be fun, scary or...surprising.

Question: What is one surprising thing you have learned in your wedding process? Or if you can't think of any,What are some fun, personal surprises that others have surprised you with?

I was surprised to learn how much people are willing to help me in the whole wedding process. I have an ex-coworker, when after saying I liked a certain dress company on Facebook, said her aunt was a designer for them! We chatted back and forth on Facebook and her aunt was doing her best to try and find this dress I liked. While she couldn't find it in any store, and she didn't have it in stock at the office, she offered another solution. The company would make the dress for $240. I couldn't believe all that help for a dress I like (although I've never tried it on, $240 is not a big investment should I not find my dress elsewhere).

Ha! I learned too much. For starters, I didn't think I would be so decisive. I'm usually very indecisive especially when I have choices. But I know what I want and what I hate.
I also learned people who you would think would be happy, actually turn out to be crazy jealous. (For example, my boss made me work on a day of my surprise engagement party , while he took the day off with most of the staff. He was also invited!! Must be nice to be able to get ready for a party when I didn't have that luxury)

Ive learned that people you haven't spoken to in months even years come out of the wood work! Everyone thinks they r invited!
But I've been pleasantly surprised by all the help my friends have offered. I feel almost guilty asking bridal party to help me do sillyy things like stuff STD envelopes, then I complain about how I was up so late and it was taking for ever....they tell at me that that is what a bridal party is for let us help u!! , so that is nice, now I have to let them help!!
