Good Morning Ladies! Happy Hump Day! I hope you are all having a great morning so far!! So here is today's question of the day:
Everyone says that they have dreamed of this day since they were little girls. So my question to you is, do you think your wedding day will be a reflection of that childhood dream? Or do you think your tastes and dreams have altered as you have grown and what you once thought would be perfect has become more realistic? In essence, the image you had of your day, how has it changed in your mind as you have grown up?

Well i remember always wanting a lot of people at a gorgeous place with a big dress and so far i'll be having all of that!

so far, it's living up to my chilhood dream! I have a gorgeous place on the water for my reception. I'm marrying the greatest guy in the world who is also my best friend
Haven't gotten my dress yet, but i'm sure it will be princess-like as i had always imagined it would be.

Great answer!! I just realized I didn't answer my own question haha.
The way everything is being planned so far my day is turning out to be amazing! I think there are aspects of my wedding that are going to exceed my dreams: ie my FH who truly is my other half, my dress, my reception. There are things that are not going to live up to my dreams like the Ceremony location. I always wanted to get married in a big Catholic Cathedral, but instead we are getting married at the RH. I think all in all that will fade away when I walk down the aisle and see his face. I think it won't matter where we are as long as we are Husband and Wife and have all our family and friends with us, the day will be perfect wherever we are!!!
PS: I am the biggest dork, cuz when I read that back, I started to tear up!

my dream wedding ideas have definitely changed (thank god) When I was little, I wanted my BM to each wear a different color pastel dress...it would have looked like an Easter parade

Since i was a little girl I wanted 5 people on a beach and that was it....
Now im having alot of people in a church...
My mind still hasn't let it go and thats why when we renew our vows in wdw were doing it on the beach with 18 people!!!

i never thought about it as a kid, i was more of a tomboy back then - it just wasnt something that was interesting to me so i never had a vision of it growing up - not even as a teenager - i did start thinking about it when FH and i got serious and moved in together - we always thought we'd have a destination wedding or something like that but it turns out we are having the exact opposite! a winter wedding at a RH

I wanted a huge wedding when I was a kid. Now I don't want a big wedding with a million people that I don't know and will never see again(that's the way I look at it). But I always dreamed of having a white dress and at a beautiful place so half and half is what I dreamed! i can't wait to be to get married!

When I was younger it was definitely more Barbie Dream House Wedding... It is going to be just as glam but way more sophisticated..

The one thing that's the same is that FH is just as perfect as I thought he would be.
Oh and that we're getting married in a church... I wanted to get married at the RH but FH really wanted the church, which is what I always pictured when I was little so I gues it works out anyway. :)

Honestly, I never dreamed of this like other girls. And, I never even thought that I would get married. When I was in High School, my friends said that I was going to be the fashion diva living in the City with a new man every week. BOY were they wrong!!!!! I have to say one thing though, I am happy with how everything is turning out during the planning process. I think my taste has grown much more conservative as I got older.

i don't think my dream has changed much except that i won't be arriving in a horse & carriage, although i'd like to. i'm still having a large (160 people to me is large although i've been to 450 people weddings) wedding. it's outdoors like i always wanted & i'm marrying my prince. my family will be there, my father will give me away, there's really nothing more that i wanted.

I am that person who never dreamed about their wedding. never looked at dresses or went to a wedding thinking I want this or I don't want that. So since I don't have certain expectations to live up to I think my day will be perfect.

In some ways and some ways no. I always thought id get married in a church, which we aren't doing. I did get my princess dress tho!!

I think, for the most part, my childhood ideas of a wedding are pretty much coming true. I had always wanted to get married when it would be a little bit warmer. Like maybe in the 60s or something. But I'm ok with January. And my budget is deefinitely ok with it!
My dress has changed over time, but for the most part it's still very similar, and just the details have changed a little bit. Everything else is the same, though. It'll be very romantic and warm.
